No offense taken at all, love fitness talk, any contributions you have are welcome.

Yes, I’m specifically working hypertrophy set/rep range for muscle gain while alternating HIIT cardio and have got my resting heart rate under 50bpm. As far as sustainable muscle gain...

As you know, IFBB is rampant with steroid, SARM, and PED use in general so, “bulking” for them is not applicable these days to non-gear lifters. I mean, is there any IFBB pro that is not using?

For most people who lift, It’s more ideal to “main gain” at say 200-300 calories above maintenance as opposed to a huge surplus and forego all the fat gain. You’ll just steadily keep packing on muscle 365 that way.

Once (if!) I ever get down to 12 or 13% bf, I may go to a surplus. I’m just intent on stripping off the last of the fat and getting from 15 to 12 is slow going since I hate starving myself.

Absolutely. All IFBB pros including “coach Greg” are on ridiculous stacks. I’ve put together and implement 100s of training programs all the way from the housewife looking to lose 15-20lbs, the guy that wants to add 10- 15lbs of muscle and D1 and professional athletes. In my experience clients that focus on weight loss and also are trying to put on some muscle in a slight deficit, will put on minimal muscle mass while losing weight. I find the newer the client is to training, the better the result. Definitely much more difficult for a more seasoned client to add more than moderate muscle while in a deficit losing weight/BF. In reality we’re doing really well to lose fat and maintain the muscle they had. Personally I’m 49yo, 6’4” and will fluctuate between 240/252 at about 12-13%. I don’t like to say not bad for a 49yo. I say not bad for any age. Haha. That’s just me being cocky and silly though. Thanks for chatting and keep up the hard work!

Be a big statement if he lights them up.

I’m sure he wants to. He has be hammering it a bit further lately, so hopefully distance doesn’t distract him.

Ha! I wish MO.

For the past few years I’ve been chasing the holy grail, namely, gaining muscle mass while simultaneously losing fat. Not a big deficit, around 100-400 calories a day. So, hitting the protein level is important. It’s been effective to get to about 15% body fat and now, I’m tryin to get a legit 4-pack! (A 6-pack is never going to happen so I’d be happy with 4 ; )

Very hard to do.  Diet has to be absolutely spot on.  It's even harder to do naturally.  I did bodybuilding shows at the local level and qualified for Excalibur back in the day.  Unfortunately I had to withdraw because I was having a lot of health problems which ultimately led to a liver transplant.  These days I have my own personal training business and my clientele include pro athletes and body builders.  A little bit of test and some anavar/primo plus hgh works wonders, haha.

This course does a great job of finding the best ball striker from tee to green. Putting isn't as big of a deal here since everyone struggles a bit on the track. Riv seems like one of everyone's favorite track that is a regular tour stop.

It's tough layout for sure.  I've played there a couple times in the past and if you're not on point with ball striking you will be in for a long day.  It also sucks to play out of that kikuya grass as well.  It favors accuracy over distance hence why both long and short hitters have won this event.

Cam Champ pulled out and replaced with Andrew Putnam...kinda makes that bombers group of Champ, McIlory and De Chambeau a little less watchable.

Rumour is that Champ decided to withdraw after realising that he can no longer claim to the third longest player on Tour following on from bscinstnct gains over the past few years.

I don't like it either. I don't know why he would mess with it.

To be fair, he has been known to miss some short putts having looked pretty shaky over them. That said, it’s a pretty scary thought that at 23 or whatever he is that he has felt the need to try the claw so early.

Its just seems a little like an over reaction. I mean he has made some really clutch putts, the one to tie JT in the playoff was unbelievable. Then the one to secure eagle at the PGA. He hits a little cold snap and just abandons it? Geez.

Yeah, I think the issue is more to do with the short ones as opposed to the longer ones. There a few from Colonial last year that stick in my mind. 190th in Strokes Gained Putting so far this season.

Because he has been mediocre at best for PGA tour standard putter. He putted good at PGA and won workplace putting really bad but made the long one vs JT.

exactly but he has a very high side on every other part of his game.

Scotty needs to send that Autoflex to the BST and get the Ventus back in the bag I don't care what kind of ball speed gains he was seeing. When you're unintentionally moving the ball much further than Bubba there's a problem.

He's still -2 right now.  He knows the rough isn't bad this week.

Perfect recipe for 4 days of tournament golf success....relying on a red hot putter that is all but guaranteed to revert to the mean.

such horrible accuracy off the tee is bound to catch up to him.. I am expecting a flame out round at some point.
