It seems like every week has some event that lights up the golf media and golfwrx like fireworks on the 4th of July. I'm just trying to get ready to survive the next incident. It would be nice just to have one week before the Masters where the only thing talked about is the tournament instead of flame throwers from 20 paces (or 20 posts) over someone or something.

I could not disagree more strongly. This year has been great so far. I for one hope the 2021 Masters features someone trying to impersonate one of the amateurs to sneak onto the course at Augusta.... successfully.

 

As a plus, if they happen to be a scratch golfer, we'll finally know if they can break 85 at Augusta National.

haha, no worries.   I'm saying wow, that's a strong field.   SOF is strength of field.  No idea what the actual number means but, for comparison, Pebble Beach's was 141 with 30 ranking points for winning.  WM, which had a pretty decent field was 463 with 58 first place ranking points.

Back to the tourney ..... I always watch this with mixed emotions because I can't unsee Nicklaus losing to Sutton (not against Hal by any means, but it was right there for Jack, just like the U.S. Open against Watson) .... '86 made everything alright!

Lol, I don’t have a guy with a backpack of food but the other day I had to take 2 trains up to the suburbs. I brought a leftover piece of lemon sole wrapped in Saran Wrap in my bag, ate it on the train to be sure and hit my protein number for the day. 
 

Washed it down with a cappuccino.
