I think y'all are reaching here with the sound. head, ball, shafts, audio all affect what you hear ... Hit them. lol.

They are reaching.

I hit the entire line Saturday against my MMCs and the sound is no different. They do have a more "thuddy" feel as Keith described it perfectly. Almost a more solid feel.

Preorder up in tgw, but does anyone know a preorder site for single 223 irons? Going to add a 233 4 iron.  They do have the black fli-hi single 2/3/4 iron with stock rdx shaft that might have to replace the hybrid.

click custom on tgw you can select whatever iron you want

Seems like TXG initial impression is the 225 is most impressive of the line

It would have been nice if Ian was the test subject for all 3. He was carrying the 221 7 iron 175 and the 225 7 iron 195. Would the 223 slot right in between at 185? Matt tested the 223 so I guess I will never know that answer 😆

Thanks to the THP-MIzuno Experience, a week ago I ordered the FliHi 4i, 225 5-6i, and 223 in 7-PW. Hope to get them in a couple of weeks. Irons in hopefully Recoil 95 (depends on inventory). FliHi in CKPro Red just to see what would happen. Will hit, then evaluate on re-shaft.

Thanks for heads up on single iron ordering!

keeping mp20 blades for a few years personally but will add new 4 iron and fli-hi.
I will say the hype on the 225 was the same for the hmb a few years ago, and of course makes a fitters job easy.  Will be interesting to hear/see what everyone says in 6 months.  Personally the feel of mp20 blade was leaps and bounds better than the hmb, not just sight aesthetics.

I do love the looks of the new line!

Watched the 223 video and I think I made the right decision. Plenty of tech and feel and consistency. I'm stoked .

Wasn't wowed by the 223 review. They seemed a little disappointed based on where their excitement was before. Idk. I planned on waiting and testing against the ZX7, assumed the 223 would win. Not so sure now.

Great sticks also, launched too low for me

I didn’t take disappointment in the 223 from their quick session.

I was mainly speaking with their detailed review of 223 they loaded. They played with the loft. Long irons seemed great. idk. Just seemed like they spoke of it lacking the pop they were expecting. Seemed like they loved the 225

Michael Newton just added a review on Youtube.

Thomas from 2nd Swing (they do excellent reviews) picked 223 as his favorite but loved all three. He hits the ball somewhere between Ian and Matt. Michael Newton also did best with the 223. Crossfield also liked the whole line but gravitated toward the 225 because he likes the bigger and more forgiving models. Nothing yet from Rick Shiels, but I'm not a fan so won't be waiting with bated breath. The 223 model was the one that Chris Voshall seems most excited about, so if TXG had had him on during testing, that's probably the one he'd be hyping.

Really just seems like the best of both worlds in a super appealing package.

The GW in the 223 line is confirmed as 51 degrees (the PW is 46 for reference).

The GW in the 225 line is confirmed as 49 degrees (the PW is 44 for reference).

Doubt many would be interested in a 51 degree GW - may as well get a T22.

I'm more interested in the 225 line so may look at the 40 degree GW.

Matt and Ian didn't have a bad thing to say about the 225, only repeated "Best iron of all time" several times.

This has me re-thinking the 223

Did they really? I haven't seen the video but I don't ever remember a time they've said "best" of anything. Guess I'll have to try the 225.

I was bouncing back and forth between the HMB's and Titleist T100's all last season. Scored about the same with both sets and I really struggled deciding which to keep in the bag. I loved the feel and forgiveness of the HMB's, but I really preferred the compact size of the T100's. As dumb as it sounds, the chunkiness of the HMB's was really the only thing keeping me from committing to them long term. If these 225's perform as good or better than the HMB's in a noticeably more compact package, my wallet isn't going to be very happy with me.

I have my order in for 223s. I'm a lefty, so that's really my only option -- but after watching the initial reviews, it's the one I'd want to go with, anyway. Seeing the glowing review from Thomas at 2nd Swing was nice because I've found in the past, my experiences do pretty closely reflect what he finds in their reviews.

I'll be honest, I was hoping to get a bit more from TXG. Thought they might have Voshall on for an interview during their initial testing video or something like that. Oh well, no disrespect meant, they're still my favorite YouTube channel.

Looking forward to any comparisons that emerge between the 223 and the JPX 921 Tours, which are what I'm playing right now (well ... the JPX 921 SEL set, which is 4/5 Forged and 6-GW Tour). I'm hoping for a little more forgiveness in the 6 and 7 irons, and thinking that the slightly stronger lofts on the longer end will be beneficial for my gapping. Or if there are none before my 223s get delivered, I'll get on a Trackman and write up a comparison post of my own.

I think based on the size alone I would expect the 223 6,7 iron to perform more like the forged than the tour. Mizuno has that iron comparison chart where you can look at the size between 223 and 921 sel
