I think that's a one-off that Hideki has been using for a while. Based on an older Srixon head.

True, but I have never really minded not having forged wedges. Vokeys are never forged.

Yeah companies have done a great job at making cast wedges feel really good.

Mizuno has forged wedges. I dont really know of anyone else that has forged wedges. Callaway will have forged wedges out shortly.

Yes, Mizuno wedges are forged and feel awesome but they wear out fast.
I've played all the T series over the years and have gone through at the least 2 sets per year.
I tried some forged Honma's last season, also very nice!

Ping has the glide forged and so does PXG and I would think the Miruas are forged as well

Forgot about ping. Muira and pXG I didn’t really consider as they are incredibly small in the market.

Ping has shock absorbing rubber or whatever it is in their Glide line and Cleveland in CBX and they feel pretty soft without being forged

I love seeing all the different putters used on tour!  Love seeing people sticking with what they love and have loved for a very long time and people try new stuff!  Daniel Berger with the Atlanta was unexpected and Harmon with old faithful!

Yah the glide forged I heard is getting an update, and it was made of 8620 so it lasted much longer than the t20... there are some other small dtc brands that have forged wedges like Ben hogan and Edison.... not sure what else got left out besides epon and some other JDM styles

Callaway have done several lines of forged wedges.  They've been at it for a long time.

Interesting, I had thought they were waiting until next spring to release the new Z Forged blade. Perhaps they are capitalizing on the success of the ZX5/7 series and releasing early ?!?

Callaway X Forged was released in late 2015 with player seeding being at the beginning of that year.  I know a few free agent guys who stock piled dozens of these at the time because of their preference for them.  That said this was 5+ years ago.

Yeah I knew it had been a bit.. haha. I think I had one of those.. Or the model just previous to it.

Wouldn't be surprised if those irons are just a one off for Hideki, I remembered he had these last year.

 

I'd assume their new blades would be something along the lines of ZX Forged considering their entire club line is ZX now. The ones in his bag now just seem too similar to the current Z Forged.

Those were really nice wedges IMO.  I still have a few of them laying around.  These were a little more recent though, I think around the time the MD3s came out?  Maybe between the MD3s and the MD4s?

Louis Oosthuizen looks to be using the KBS One Step putter shaft in his Ping Vault Voss.

Yes and he has not "worn" out the sweet spot as the landing page says on "Interesting Photos form the WGC". The Vault has the center part designed like that. Azinger made the same comment about Niemann a few tournaments back as well.

I made the same comment about the sweet spot on the main page in the comments section. I expected more out of Ryan Barath!

Nice! I was looking for a comments section on that page, but the page was bouncing all over the place loading ads, I lost my patience and went to the forums. It's getting to be a bit much with the adds and such. The UX is lacking on this site.
