New Cobra Putters

Got the sport 60 off here and boy does this feel good. Rolls very nice and feels great. I had read before that someone said it was firm and clicky. I disagree. This putter feels soft and I feel like the ball just starts rolling true quicker. Only thing I’m not a fan of is the grip. It seems a bit heavy and i would rather a normal, lighter grip.

Here is what my Agera looks like after 9 months of pretty regular use. From address and far away, it’s not really noticeable.

Nothing wrong with that.

Nothing done with the face. Little dissapointing.

Agreed

I saw a pic of a black face and was excited for a minute

I would expect some color variations to come out periodically like the Palm Tree

I can maybe understand not offering custom lengths, but why don’t they offer a 33in model online? For anyone out there who has ordered the 34in and cut down to 33in, how much weight did you have to add to the head? Do I have to pay extra to get the weight set delivered with the putter??

Any reviews on the newer line? I’ve been using an Edel E4 but really want to try the descending loft face without paying Sik prices.  Would be interested in hearing about the Widesport. No one in my area has em.

thanks in advance

Newer line just has some cosmetic changes and hosel options. They are still great, if you like the feel and sound from an aluminum insert.

I had a Cobra and loved everything about it except the sound and feel. It was super stable and the SIK face works for me. I took the plunge and got fit for a real SIK putter with BGT shaft and its night and day different. Solid feel and sound like a real milled putter should have and super stable. I cannot say enough about the SIK face. Not sure if it is because I know this putter is fit for me or if its the technology but I can roll the ball better than anything Ive ever used. Using a line on the ball and it just tumbles end over end on anything near a decent strike. It truly is point and shoot.

Feel is so subjective.  Just had a putter fitting at Club Champion, and nothing could kick my Widesport out of the bag.  I went in so excited to try the SIK putters in person, but I thought they were much too heavy.  Ended up sticking with the Cobra after trying literally every other face-balanced wide blade.

I won this putter in a tournament

Had it cut down to 34in like the rest of my putters I play

Took it out to practice with it

A few of my findings:

I like the roll on the ball, beautiful

Feel is good, easy to tell if you have hit it good

Have to hit the ball hard on long putts to get it there

Speed control was very easy to dial in

Big drawback for me was the grip felt very heavy

All of the weight seems to be in the grip

I did have the putter cut down an inch and I replaced the grip with a SS Tour 2.0 which was on there originally

That might be the reason for the weight in the grip

I might order the weight kit to get more weight in the head or just lead tape it

Overall a good putter

It will not knock my PXG Closer out of the bag

I almost bought this putter instead of my Closer and I would not have been disappointed if I did

I would love to see Cobra make a milled version of this putter

Sorry to bring this thread back up, but does anybody have an idea what one of the limited run cobra king supersport 3d printed putters might be worth? Someone is offering me one in trade, and while it looks interesting, I am leery because I never see them, and people have issues with the soft face. Thanks.

They are good putters. But if you want a pristine face, you pass. The dings dont effect performance, its just cosmetic.

Do you have any sense of what the limited supersport might be worth these days? The regular ones are pretty cheap, but I haven't seen one of the limited ones up for sale.

Used? I have no idea, I cant imagine that much more, maybe 50 bucks more than the regular ones.
