Yes, if you use your thumb to cover the dot (gloved hand of course) so it doesn’t get covered with the foot spray. It won’t read if it gets covered

Has anyone purchased the sim-in-a-box Par package? The extra courses like Pebble and St. Andrews make it seem like a good value? Thoughts?

I have the extra courses.  I’m not sure I would pay the $1500 extra again unless I had it to burn.  The graphics are not great so the courses are not very visually distinctive to me in a lot of cases.  I imagine I’ll enjoy having the extra courses much more when FSX Play comes out and they get updated with the unity graphics.

That fits perfect. I’m currently looking for foam corner wedges to cover the sides poles. Carls sells them but I don’t think separately. Also trying to minimize costs, so hopefully I have find something on Amazon.

Fellas, having trouble connecting my iPad. Have followed directions on here and on the page. When I try to log in to live it says I need a license. 
 

When I try to do the trial box and search nothing comes up. Any help would be much appreciated. Sorry if too vague or need more info.

I can get a recently refurbished Apple compatible GC2 + HMT with FR1 for $6K. Would anyone recommend going that direction over the GC3? My setup would be stationary, and I'd spend 70% of my time on the range. Also, for SIM I'd likely skip FSX upgrades and head down the GS Pro path. Thoughts?

If that's your planned path, I'd say go for it.  The only concern is that of it had a lot of use you might run into repair costs that a GC3 won't have for some time (I'd hope).  You get more data from the GC2+HMT

No, I was told you have to buy the FSX license through them new.  I heard that potentially in 2022 they'll sell a GC3 without FSX and you can use an existing license there, but that's only a rumor and not confirmed by Foresight

I think that $6k for that package is very reasonable.  Using GS Pro is also a great choice, that software is phenomenal.  Just my thoughts.  Best of luck with your choice

I bought the GC2. Time will tell if I made the right call, but GC2 + HMT + GSPro should be able to hang with the GC3.

I went launch pro with GS Pro. It’s really good but I would imagine GC2 + HMT is as good if not slightly better if you want all the info maybe not if you don’t need it.

Had two B4 errors in the last few days.  First one my kid had turned it on and I didn’t notice so it ran for 4/5 hours before a session.  Thought it was running hot and maybe that caused it, barometer said 100°. Just turned it on and hit 100 drivers and had the same error.

Just responding to this question now...I’m  still experiencing carry issues with the BLP. Here is a screen shot of a 9i which I typically carry 142-145.

Have you tested your swing on another LM to validate your carry yardage? Based on those numbers, using the Flightscope Optimizer, you get about 125-130 yards of carry depending on weather conditions.

 

Either you just subconsciously are pulling back on your swing indoor, or you are getting some roll on course with their 9i.

I guess I need to validate it outside. On the course I hit my irons high, so typically I don’t get a lot of roll. I played Sunday and even with the cooler temperatures, my on-course distances were still farther than indoors on the BLP.

 

I trust the software. So it’s user or environmental error on my part.

Its photo based, not radar.  So, you just need enough room to swing your club.

I believe it’s a few inches is all it takes for full tracking. Less than your follow thru distance. I’m 8 feet from the screen and for comfort wouldn't want to be any closer

I saw on a youtube where someone mentioned 10' being needed (in ball flight).  I was hoping that wasn't accurate since I'm similar to your setup and have about 7 or 8' of ball flight in my garage.

Numbers all make sense.  What is the elevation where you are? 
 

edit:  if you were on the latest firmware I believe it should show a symbol by the carry number whether it’s using sea level or your current elevation.  You may want to check for a firmware upgrade in the settings.

I remember someone on here had posted a pic of being able to turn the barometer On/Off on the console. I don’t have that option.

I have 6.5-7 feet into a net and I haven't had any issues with reading shots unless my shoes are in the hitting window causing a reflection and the unit thinks I have multiple golf balls in the zone

You should need roughly 103 mph of ball speed to get to 140 carry. 
 

So either you’re swinging a tish slow (2-3 mph slow), or not quite hitting it solid as you do outdoors. 
 

remember the mat can grab the club a bit and slow you down.
