I hit them the other day. I'm going to be replacing my 718MB's with the new T100. They feel very close to a blade.

The T100s has a bit more of a clicky feel. The T100 feels more like a single piece of steel, very much like a CB.

These are just gorgeous. I much prefer the simpler aesthetics of these irons to the previous AP and T lines, and other OEM’s performance CB heads. I am out of the major OEM price gouging scene.  But if I wasn’t, I might save up for these.

I’m also very interested in these. I’m curious if anyone knows. Is it possible to purchase heads only?  Also if I was to pre order these. Heads or full clubs.  Anyone know when I may actually receive them?

From what I have heard you can get a shop to order heads only but the price is the same as buying them shafted. Better off buying a stock set and pulling the shafts and trying to make back $150-200. If you order now with a stock shaft and grip option I would assume September at some point? But with the way things have gone, who really knows. I am hoping to get mine before snow flies as I sold my set of t100s tonight.

I walked into the golf shop by my house and bought a stock set off the rack.  I've always been a big AP2 guy since their initial release.  Been playing Srixon ZX7s all season and have really enjoyed them.  Took the T100's out for 1 round and liked them but haven't gotten use to them yet.  I also purchased a set with AMT White which I'm not the biggest fan.  Might consider installing something else.  So far I like them but don't hit them as well as my Srixons.

Was that the steel TT AMT White or the graphite Mitsubishi tensei white AMT?  I've been wanting to try the latter.

I demo’d them against the JPX 921s and much prefer everything about the T100’s. I’ve also had the 714 and 716 AP2s and currently playing the ZX7s and the T100s feel better than any of those, in my opinion. I would agree some of the previous versions felt clunky but these feel VERY good. I was impressed enough to order a set.

IMO they feel nicer than last years T100, a bit less clicky/firm and more of a traditional feel. I hit them back to back with my Cobra CBs and I liked both equally. T100 spun quite a bit less... I'm thinking it's the sole design which was allowing me to strike the ball a bit higher than my current set.

I like to think the 620 CB feel better than the new T100 irons. They feel like the prior gen T100 IMHO.

The sole grind is nice and I felt it move through the turf with ease in all irons.

I am interested if anyone has demo’d the new T100 irons, and how they feel.  I thought the previous models and AP2s felt clicky.  I’ve been playing the CBs for for quite awhile, and like the forged feel, but I’m ready for a little more forgiveness.

I hit the T100 and T100S during a fitting a few weeks ago. Personally I thought the T100S in particular was forgiving enough for anyone who's at least a bogey golfer. Very friendly club. T100 not quite as much but it was very close. If you're under 90 most days you'd have no issues with either IMO. Feel with both was kinda 'meh' for me - not bad but not great. I thought the 921 Forged felt a tiny bit better and the Apex 21 felt noticeably better but I seem to be in the minority in that opinion. I'm in such a minority that I'll probably go hit them again just to see if maybe I'm missing something.

I recently got my new T100S irons coming from Apex 21s.  The T100S feel much better to me than the apex 21s and the turf interaction is superior for my swing.  Time will tell but so far no regrets on the change.

As I understand it the only difference between the T100 and T100s is 2* of loft.

Why do you suppose either one would be "more forgiving" than the other ?

And while I personally support any player playing any iron he/she wants for whatever reason he/she wants, if their best score is their goal the "bogey golfer" should be playing a more forgiving iron than the T100.

I agree. I played 2 rounds with T100 and went back to 620CB. There was no clear advantage from one to another.

They're different clubs - it's more than just loft. For some, there's more to golf than just a number on a scorecard, and that bogey golfer wouldn't be scoring significantly better playing shovels anyway IMO.

2) I believe I acknowledged that.

That's actually very interesting. Thanks.

Titleist couldn't have "hidden" that (muscle channel) much better if they tried (maybe they did ? :classic_laugh:).

Maybe I missed it but I don't see on the Titleist site where the weight of the tungsten is any different.

Nor do I see where the "s" has a muscle channel and the T100 doesn't as the article infers ("also").

And in listing features and benefits it says, for BOTH, "Exceptional forgiveness in a Tour iron".

Titleist didn't list a "muscle channel" in their description column but instead, at the bottom (under the pictures) said "Weight savings from the Muscle Channel are shifted to produce even lower CG and better launch", suggesting that the T100 also has a "muscle channel" as well; weights just in slightly different placement(s).

That said, I guess with weights placed slightly differently that would fall into the description of the heads being "different"; as in not ONLY being 2 degrees stronger.

And while I'm not surprised they do it, I think it is comforting that the stronger heads are MADE that way, not just weaker heads bent stronger.

So I guess while ol' Puffy suggests the "s" is more forgiving, I wonder if that could even be detected by a machine. I sincerely doubt it could be felt by the player - but I suppose it's possible. coffee.gif

Anyway, thanks again. 👍

All I'm reading is that they're different and designed that way but we can call them the same if you want. I'm just relaying my thoughts after hitting them.

That is definitely my opinion. If your average bogey golfer regularly gave up 1 or even 2 strokes a round playing the T100S vs something like a Mavrik I would be shocked.

Interesting side note but I sometimes play with a bogey golfer who carries a Wilson Staff Fg17 2i with the original shaft in his bag of GI clubs. Turns out he smokes that thing almost every time he hits it - it's the craziest thing you've ever seen. What's even more crazy is that if he plays the whole set it may be uglier to watch but his scorecard always stays pretty much the same. It ain't his clubs that's making him a bogey golfer.

Awesome clubs, still clicky.

ZX7 was similar forgiveness and felt 100x softer and more of a forged feel. I think it is about as close as it gets. T100 are good looking and I hit them well it is literally that feel I can't take.

I have a set of T100s coming, and I’m currently gaming a ZX7 combo. Honestly, I prefer the feel of the ZX7. The one piece Endo forging is special. However, the T100s look better to me, I like the tech, and they performed better in most areas, especially spin.
