2022 TaylorMade Stealth, Stealth Plus, Stealth HD drivers (in-hand photos)

Recommended Posts

Nobody remembers the Callaway C4 back in 2003/4ish ?? The failure rate for higher handicap players was through the roof! Just wait until that 14 Hdcp comes in steep and buries that head into the ground and that carbon cracks, or that muni course with those rock-hard range balls, with wet sand on them come in contact with carbon fiber ?!? Carbon fiber is not an impact material it is a utility material that can be used for weight savings in specific applications. I have an M5 in my bag, which I think was one of the better drivers from the past 5 years, for me anyways. I hope I am wrong for everyone that is about to drop $700.00 on one of these!

Those broke along the glue line between the titanium and the carbon.  They separated like a walnut.

MyStealth is already live and you can get it with a stealth grey & black face.

The grey face looks really good. Goes really well with the rest of the driver.

First Picture: Taylormade finally got rid of the white and made a better looking, slightly more subtle driver!...

(See's Clubface): Its hideous! (in Lord Farquaad's voice when he sees Shrek for the first time...)

Why do you continue to do this Taylormade? Just go back to the R510 or R7 Look...

I am curious to see hear how this sounds. Callaway made a Carbon face driver 2 decades ago that sounded Awesome (if you like the sound of a marshmallow impact)!

After years of thought....the 510tp will forever be the pinnacle for TM drivers IMO R7 SuperQuad be darn & all

SuperQuad with a Matrix Ozik TP7 X, all the weight in the heel. Best driver I've ever played.

Carbon fiber is definitely an impact material. It's been used in baseball bats and hockey sticks for years.

I'm sure they had to go with that horrible face color/design to differentiate their product from everyone else on the rack at the local golf store. They are all so similar in construction they need the masses to understand what makes their driver different and stand out. Glad they included the ability to customize face colors with that being said, TSi having such a subtle clean design really goes a long ways after seeing some of the new product lines.

In what year are they finally going to normalize selling the head only. I've spent enough money and time figuring out which shaft I want.

They won't, because they can sell it with a made-for shaft that costs $1 to make for an additional $100.

After you get past the anonymous claims of guys who say they’ve seen tour players getting an extra 8-10 yards, you have TM’s actual claim, which is an additional 1.1 mph ball speed if you swing 105+.

I have no doubt it will sell like crazy, but as someone with a moderate swing speed, I’d literally be paying for nothing.

I am curious if these drivers will lose some pop over time.  I know the carbon fiber bats do.

I wouldn’t buy used without a guarantee as the TM warranty is 1st-purchaser only. The polyurethane face cover might suffer for range-warriors.

Which is why I asked. It looked like the real deal yet at least two people in thread have mentioned that it has made-for shafts.

I think that this definitely looks like awesome club and the "My" program is a great idea but you just can't ignore $700 price tag. And you wonder why they call this an elitist sport... I guess the good news is by the end of the year it'll be $400 which seems a little more reasonable... Great looking club & idea though!

if it was so good why not just go back to it?  I have gone back a tried drivers going back 15+ years and those from over about 4- 5 years old are not even close to even getting off the range. Yes I have all of my gamers going back 20 years including yours.  Memories are hard to beat but head to head performance is reality.
