What a bizarre spectacle. Watching these players misread putt after putt is frustrating. What is really odd is that I feel I can see how they are going to miss before they hit them.

 

My home course is kikuyu! Yes, I have tennis elbow AND golfer's elbow, in both elbows! It gives me a warm feeling inside to see the best players in the world look like fools when chipping on this grass. One funny one was JYK chipping onto 16. "Normal flight, 7 yards short" was her caddy's assessment. I was thinking "NOOOOOOOOOO!", and it predictably got stuck in the fringe. It is similar watching the PGA at Torrey Pines and Riviera. That said, I am surprised that Lexi is doing so well on this grass, for the obvious reasons. I wonder how her elbows feel right now.

 

Yup, it's tough. looking forward to tomorrow. My pick from here - Lyds (Kind of boring pick, I know).

Yeah, it's going to be a Sunday Funday. 18 players within 4 shots of the lead. Anything can happen. It may come down to whoever goes low on the front nine, because the back continues to defend itself quite nicely. The top 11 players on the leaderboard shot a collective 7 over on the back nine in round three. Only Lydia was able to shoot under par on the back.

And you can only blame the late afternoon bumpiness of poa (as the GC crew loves to do) so much.  Just not an impressive short game display yesterday from the best players in the world.  Not at all.

I think one of the 2 in the final group will get it done today.  Many of the -5s aren’t likely to go very low on final day (maybe Lexi or Inbee could) and the -4s are pretty far back with a lot of players between them and the lead.

 

I’d like to see Allisen Corpuz get the win.  I don’t remember her getting much or any of the hype about the rookie class this year.

The greens were making the best look average yesterday afternoon.  The 17th Par 3 was a real killer also.  It was like deja vu watching everyone hit into the greenside bunker.   Depending on where they moved the tees for 17 today, might be the deciding hole.

Let's see if Hannah can hold off the chasers today.

Hannah was my pick this week and I still think she'll close the deal but there is some extra variance with this course.  At the end of the day I think she and Lydia go toe to toe down the stretch a shot or two clear of anyone else.

 

Minjee may need a putting adjustment, she had a couple real clunkers yesterday.  Although not quite to the level of Alison Lee 😱

 

Who is going to make the charge out of the pack?  You know JYK is fully capable.  Can Inbee make enough birdies?  Lexi agian?

 

I'd love to see a new winner like Corpuz, Andrea Lee or Jennifer Chang.

 

Interesting course + lots of players in contention should = must see TV tonight.

Atthaya is cruising, she can post a number and maybe it can hold if it gets sketchy in the afternoon.  A low score leaderboard, a good round in the morning conditions can potentially sneak you a win if you can go low enough.

WOW, they watered the heck out of those greens yesterday and they were/are in trouble. All those brownish, dark colored areas might be lost.

I have a feeling that there is a playoff in the offing . . .but we will see.  Its definitely Marina Dee's to win.
