$250 or so. Made a birdie on the #2 hdcp 510 yard par 4, heard someone chipped in. Made a 8 foot eagle on a par 5, head someone made a 40 footer then at the end of the round hit it to 5 feet on a 130 yard par 3 and made the putt. Didn't think anything of it but wound up winning the skin on that one.

A couple years ago did the same thing, playing a 2 man best ball event with skins,  on a fairly long par five, hit an amazing drawing 3 wood around a tree down a hill, about 265 out to about 3 feet on my second shot.  Partner made a 15 footer for birdie, I shoved the putt so bad I also didn't touch  the hole, it would have been at least a couple hundred probably.  On the next day, made an uneventful birdie on a shortish to medium length  par 4 with a big wide fairway, I think I only had a 9 iron on the 2nd shot. Pin was on a bit of a slope, but not that extreme, but somehow that held up for a skin.... but there were several that day, didn't pay as much.

I heard a story about a foursome of guys who play at a club in England (near London). They play twice a weekend every weekend. They play skins for GBP1,000 per hole. They keep a tally of how things stand throughout the year and then at or around Christmas time they pull out checkbooks and pay what they owe. Supposedly it's never beyond four figures, so I guess they have their handicapping rightish...

deuce pot, you have to be the only birdie on that designated par 3 on men’s day or it rolls over

 

it’s September… I stuff a 8 iron to a very hard back pin … uphill shot, pin buried behind traps in back corner of the green.  Make a 2 foot slider with 2 cups of break …. The pot is $1800.  I love my chances.  (Because it was a shotgun and we are 3 hours in and the KP was not close to the hole when we arrive)

 

well we hear a massive scream a little later in the round  - we think it’s an ace - and it turns out a 35 capper, with perhaps the worst golf swing you’ve ever seen, had cold topped a 3 wood and then somehow holed a PW from 90 yards to saw me off ….. arghhhhhh

I won a skin Sunday……paid a whopping $6😂.  Enough to pay for my one post round beer.

Just under 5k.  Holed out from 135 with a gap wedge in a 2500 to enter twosome scramble with 30 some teams. Legit four day tournament and the skins carried over to the next day if not claimed/pushed, that was the fourth day on the 16th hole that pushed the 3 days prior.  My brother and I figured it probably paid for our entry, pretty surprised when I was handed a check for double what I thought.

$420, in the local strip club scramble when I was 19. They made me go to the club to collect and have the steak dinner. I didn't spend a penny in there. I think they hoped I'd drop all my winnings.

 

It was my drive and my holeout on a par4, but my 4-some still made me split the skin with them. So I won $420 but only pocketed $140. We won the day also which was $400 for 1st so I made $240 on a $55 entry and got 18 holes, free drinks all round, steak dinner...and saw a girl swing topless in Ohio in cold weather.

$280.  Each hole was worth $20, and the club played carry over.  I think I took #6 outright, and the only other holes won were on holes 1-4.  So I scooped the last 14 skins.

Local skins game in Phoenix at Papago. $460 for an Eagle chip in on the first hole.

Not a skin but a $750 birdie pot. I had the only deuce on a 150 par 3 in a tournament. It was a cold and very windy day. I thought I won the skin too but some guys actually popped there. 

 

I did win a lot in a skins game at Pebble. I made the only par (!) on 17 out of a field of 24 guys - one a PGA pro. Also got the  closest to. Can't remember the exact amount.

Well, it's twofold!! 

 

1). Never playing again because it turned into a "beach" event..😁

 

2).  No apple products for me. Just fat fingers!!!!

Can’t recall the biggest one I won but can vividly remember the biggest one I lost. For those of you in SoCal, was playing in a Pro-Am at Industry Hills Ike. Full field (144) with pros and ams in same skins pool. I eagle the par 4 4th hole figuring I at least got a share of the pie. Get in the clubhouse after only to find out one of the pros eagled at as well and the big dog amateur at the club birdied 12 and got the entire $7200 pot.

$350, last hole of a 9 hole skins. Got told on the tee no one to that point had birded 9 and everything carried to that point. Fairway, green, hit the 15 footer with like 10 people watching to take it.
