Nope. They get more offset as they go up.

No problem.  I agree with you too. I love ping irons. But the 3-5 irons on the i200-210 and i500 have way too much offset.  I don’t see the purpose in having it just in the long irons.

I agree. If your a person that enjoys having offset, I’d want it in all irons.(Adam Scott for example) but otherwise, it would really throw me off.

I really like watching Hovland play. I also really like the i210s.

 

Ping, IMHO, is always going to be a matter of performance over aesthetics. Like "if you can get past the turbulators, this club works great" kind of thing.

 

I resisted for a long time. But, the damn things work. What are you gonna do?

 

Also, I'd argue the i210s have stuck because Ping hasn't released a replacement. The i59s weren't it. I225s or something rumored in the future. Once those are released, you might see the i210 guys make a move.

according to the ping site, I think I saw them in his bag on instagram. He's got to be the only ping staffer to do so.

Few sets of blueprints out there. Still some Iblades (best ping Iron to date) and lots off 210s.. Then there is Bubba with 15 year old irons.

Obviously its not just in the long irons, it's throughout the set, the i210's just have a stronger progression than most other sets so that when you get to the long irons it's more noticeable. Some might say it's one of the factors that have made the i210's one of the most successful irons on professional tours the past 5 years.

Never noticed before he plays the kbs tour v 130s in his wedges. The 120s in his irons. Most seem to go slightly softer in the wedges.
