Tour New Odyssey White Hot Versa and Tri-Hot 5K putters – 2023 Sentry Tournament of Champions

I have the original stroke lab double wide (the black and yellow one) and the black finish hasn't held up very well.  Does anyone know if the paint has improved, or is the same to be expected with the Versas?

 

Also, do the versas have the weight at the top of the grip like the og stroke lab putters?

I traded in my OG Rossie and had the money ear-marked for the naked tri hot Rossie. Guess I will buy something else. Maybe they'll release it in small quantities later in the year.

 

I'm sure Callaway is super concerned about losing my sale, lol

have used odyssey for yrs and they look good but another very expensive putter .too pricey for me I'm sorry to say.

Doesn't seem like it from their release. Plus they came out and said very clearly for the driver release the pro's would be playing the to market heads and not even a week later there were tour only heads popping up in videos and pictures.

Pains me to say it, but it has been confirmed. Rossie S 5K has 5 alignment aids again. 

 

My original take, unfortunately, is correct. So I retract my previous apologies to Callaway/Odyssey.

I've said it many many many times before.... Odyssey should have their own custom shop by now for consumers. Toulon's custom shop is set up horrible and probably why we have not seen one for Odyssey, but I think they could be making mint if set up properly.

Saw this in person the other day.  Looks like they cut out a piece of siding and crazy glued it to the top of a 7.  Really ghetto looking, but if it helps drop putts, who am I to judge?

I still have a #1 wide versa WBW. The WBW always looked better to me.

The trihot #7 w a double bend shaft looks great.

Happy to admit I hate alignment lines on all putters but it seems even more annoying to me when the whole point of versa is to align using the colour scheme.

Would LOVE these with dots only or naked.

 

In other news, not everyone wants a counterbalanced putter.

Does Callaway know this?

Can’t speak to finish quality, but yes it’ll have the counter weight in the top of the stroke lab shaft - but you have the option to order it with their steel shaft instead (which has no counterweight)

Went to the store putted the 7CH. Love the look, the color contrast makes the aim a lot easier (in my eye) not sure about the feel though…it almost doesn’t have any feel to it. My main gamer is Scotty NP2, may be I’m just not used to the insert face

My unscientific theory on the Versa. For a right handed, right eye dominant putter the lines out now are best, meaning perpendicular to the target line. For a right handed, left eye dominant putter the old Versa 90 works best.

Does anyone know if the heel toe blade length for the 7 is similar to the tri-hot 5k blades? I’ve been gaming the blade and really liking the long blade length and can’t seem to go back

Getting on tour or becoming a golf influencer is probably your best option. I've never ever seen one for sale without the sightlines.
