For me it was the 2016 M2 3hl and second was the original Sim Ti.

No one going to bat for the ZX line?  I've only heard good things and was looking to pull the trigger on one at a discount with the new MK line out.

915F.  I know, it's not within the last 5 years, but...

 

JT just recently booted it from the bag in favor of a new TSR, and Patrick Cantlay still uses one.

JT still has the 915Fd 5 wood in the bag.  Don't know where I had seen that he switched.

Epic Flash SZ 5w was my lone fairway wood for multiple seasons. I even saved the club head in case I need to go back to it. 

 

More recently I'd have to add the TSi2. It's the first fairway wood that I've been able to hit comfortably as a 3w/5w setup and my long game has definitely improved since adding them to my bag. Great looks and feel/sound as well.

So, last 5 years  ltdx ls wins for me. 

It's as long as I've ever had in a FW, I can go left, right, high, low, fly one high for a soft landing or fly it down and let it run up.

Mavrik standard 3w and 5w has been my favorite fairway wood.

M6 I thought was awesome.  Easy to hit and launch high.  Hard to find now, but can be had for cheap.

What is best for each individual golfer obviously will depend on - 

1. That player’s swing and delivery 

2. overall use of 3 wood (mostly tee club or used into greens as well)

3. Personal preference/ majority won’t be testing all options each year

 

But I have tried a handful over past 5-7 years going back to 917 series, M2, g410, epic, rogue, epic flash, tsi2…. And there are 2 that clearly stand above the rest- Epic Flash Sub Zero and Tsi2. The front/back weight ports on Epic Flash sub zero helped me dial that club in and its why I’m still gaming it today.
