PXG Gen6? When?

The rep I know stated Gen 6 in 2/23 or 3/23. Also mentioned new wedges including more sole options and a new driving iron with more lofts.

Personally, I’d love a wedge option without full-face grooves. It seems unusual that they don’t have this.

Driving iron with more lofts also sounds good, maybe more like a utility iron/long iron replacement?

More sole options, now we’re talking!

A RAW wedge option would be sweet too, but I'm pretty sure that will be tour-only.

I love raw wedges, but the satin finish on the sugar daddies are great imo

I’ve always thought PXG should have a full face option and a non full face option for the wedges, I’d also love a 48 or 46 but I think I’ll have to keep dreaming.

I love my gen4 0311x and I’ve said I’d put it in a 4i if they made it.

I see you PXG, trying to sneak some more into my bag.

that they just released gen 5 and now we're all talking about gen 6.

It appears to be the same for the last few years and Gens...Info Jan/Feb for driver/fairways with release in mid/late March, info March on irons with release in mid/late April... Everything else released seems sporadic...

I'd love to see some Sugar Daddy 3's come out. Then they would hopefully cut the price on the SDII''s and I could pick up a couple back-ups. By far the best wedge I have played to date!!!!

The one thing (there are many) I love about PXG though, when they do release new stuff it’s usually better performing than the old which I guess solidifies Parson’s model as to why he started the co in first place.  👍🏻

Definitely agree!  I also like that you can get PXG stuff right away versus other oems with their 3+ month back orders…

I haven't found the Gen 4 or 5 P irons to perform any better than the Gen 3's.

What sole grinds do you use? What kind of grass/lies do you play off

My 54/13* is the BP Grind - use it in the fairways and soft sand

58/10* is the C Grind - use it on tight lies and firm bunker. With the grind on this club I would say the bounce seems more like a 6*.

My home course is links style so you can get a variety of lies and conditions.

FOR ME the G5's were "slightly" better than the G4's. And the G4's were "slightly" better than the G3's.

Nothing earth shattering though for either. I play the G4's because I love the look of the XTREME DARKS and the G5's were a little too busy for me.

I’m on an odd (vs. even) replacement cycle.  I had Gen 1, Gen 3 and now Gen 5.  I didn’t like the Gen 2’s (too harsh feeling).  The Gen 4’s were ok but just couldn’t beat out the Gen 3’s.  The Gen 5’s are the best I’ve owned and will probably wait for Gen 7 before I replace them.

Also, I loved the Gen 4 fairways but not the hybrids.  I love the Gen 5 fairways and the hybrids are MONEY.  Full bag of Gen 5 and haven’t been that happy in a lonnngggg time and many sets in between.

Full Gen 5 bag here with SD 2 wedges and I have been very pleased with everything except the driver. I have the 0311P irons and I've never hit a more solid feeling club. The sound, flight and feel are everything I'm looking for in an iron.

The Gen 5 driver has been a friendly driver and it has performed reasonably well as far as being a fairway finder. The problem I have with the driver is that it's comprehensively shorter than others I have put up against it. I'm willing to sacrifice some yardage but I'm not willing to sacrifice 10+ yards. Hopefully Gen 6 will be lower spin and have a bit more horsepower under the hood.

It does take effort to really dial in the Gen5 driver(s) from a weight/shaft perspective. Gen4 X is a rocket launcher and Gen5 0311 is as well once dialed in. I rotate them based on course conditions, but the configurations are not the same. Hopefully they'll build Gen6 off the tour issue only TD line with the front weight in front like Gen4 X to reduce spin.

I have toyed with several different shafts and balls in an attempt to eat some spin off the Gen 5 driver.  I have settled on Tour AD XC set at 8.25* with a Callaway Chrome Soft X LS ball.

I picked up a friends TSR3 10* with the stock 1k shaft and it was noticeably longer than my driver. No launch monitor data just the eye test on the range. I'm not sure how much more yardage I would gain with an optimized TSR, Stealth or Callaway but I think it would definitely be a gain.
