New Sqairz Model - Speed Bold

Sqairz has introduced a new model of shoe, Speed Bold. Single piece upper with two sets of shoelaces to change the look. All the same performance enhancing features all the other models have, and it has been rated as the most "stable" golf shoe for 2023 and in the top 5 overall. I like the look, but I admit I'm a big Sqairz fan, finding these the best golf shoes I personally have ever worn, and I've been playing golf since the 1950s!

Is this really where we’re at with golf now. 8+ yards of distance with footwear? Guess we’ve played out the claims of 17 yards with golf clubs and moved it to shoes.

Not bad looking overall, but I'd prefer that the Sqairz name be a bit more subtle on them.

Others such as Payntr and Atahalonz talk about their shoes being performance enhancing, Sqairz just had a 3rd party do some testing to quantify it. Everyone's experience may vary. By looking at my data since switching to Sqairz shoes, according to Shot Scope my "average" drive has increased by 7 yards. There may be several things to account for that, though at my age I'm losing swing speed quickly. In my case, I think it is because my bad drives are better due to improved balance and stability. I can't honestly say that my longest drives are any longer.

Wouldnt Tiger be wearing these if they were actually the most stable?  Im still surprised that Nike (a shoe company) cant build one of there most prized athletes a pair of shoes that work for him…seems Footjoy builds a Tiger approved stability shoe.

It’s not that they can’t. They are choosing not to, which doesn’t make much sense to me.

If I was Nike Id be ripping the bottom off of them FJ’s and sewing a Nike upper to it😄

It’s not that they can’t. They are choosing not to, which doesn’t make much sense to me.

I may have to give these a try. Not sure if they will be wide enough through the arch, but they remind me of the early TW shoes which were some of the best shoes I ever wore.

These may get some traction if they were <$100 but when they are $20 more than Footjoy Premiers, that is a hard sell. 

 

There are just too many options that are much better looking, for less money, that check all of my boxes. They can keep the mythical 8 yards.

I can't speak for Tiger, but as an old man with bad feet, I really like their shoes.  I have bad Plantar Fasciitis and when it flares up, my Squairz are the only thing I can wear.

I see golfers on Instagram wearing these and they look massive on their feet.  Besides the extra distance claims being a turn-off, I can't get passed the look of these things.

Yeah.......they forgot to ship the extra distance with mine.  At least they are comfortable.  At my age, I don't care what they look like.

They look much better in person. I ordered a pair, but the fit was just not right for me. I was not too happy with the restocking fee. Taught me not to order shoes I can’t try on.

Agree, been playing golf 45+ years, always bought premium/top of the line shoes...Sqairz are my favorites...

What restocking fee? The website says 30 day money back guarantee and no mention of a restocking fee.

When I tried them there was a restocking charge. It’s possible they have changed their policy.

I have a pair of the new Bold.  Even more comfortable than the 2nd generation snd a bit sportier look if you will.   
 

I don’t know if I’m gaining yards for sure.  But I absolutely feel more stable during the swing.   So I know I’m not losing yards.

Just got my Speed Bold today.  Walking around the office in them.....they are really comfy.  The roomy toe box is really nice.  I look forward to wearing them on course.
