I have a Stealth 3 wood, and would love to see an adjustable model so I can flatten the lie. A new P760 would also get my attention. Looking forward to the new TP5.

If you can find a fitting head, they're adjustable.

Oh, my gosh! Please tell me that isn’t real. That thing looks absolutely atrocious. Like, what are they doing?!

TM will have the MYDRIVER option so you can get just about any face color YOU like.

Yep. And I've loved blue since stealth+.

Ok whew. That makes me feel better. I literally thought they were going to copy the MyDriver option of the Stealth. I have no problems with the blue face as a custom option. Makes it stand out. Just thought they were going all red to all blue as the standard look. That would have been so lame.

Since TM makes the standard model fairway and hybrid fitting heads adjustable I hold out hope the next generation fairways and hybrids offer adjustability. I can’t see TM being the only OEM that doesn’t make most (if not all) their fairways and hybrids with adjustable loft sleeves.

Unfortunately they’ve been making the max line with adjustable fitting heads since sim2 as far as I recall.

The retail head is not adjustable, they made heads for demo/fittings that are adjustable.  I have one in my bag...so LOL.

You seem to by implying that certain companies don't sell because they make an inferior product.  Completely disagree.  The average golfer will see minimal benefit from Titleist or Callaway vs. Mizuno or Srixon.  Show me the objective testing that shows that an average golfer is seeing a significant loss of performance from a Srixon driver.  It doesn't exist.  People fall for marketing.  And some of that marketing is what's played on Tour.

And your opinion is largely based on what you see on tour.  You see Morikawa using a Sim and Brooks ditching his Srixon so you assume the Stealth 2 or Srixon is crap and "not selling".  I don't know where you get sales numbers.    But I don't have sales numbers and I don't pretend to know what they are.  But I don't think 99% of consumers really know or care if Morikawa is using a Sim.  And certainly don't base their purchases on it.

My point stands.  Many companies make a good product.  Most consumers will do just fine with a Mizuno driver.  And if they choose to pay more for a Callaway or Titleist, it's because they are marketed better.  Not because the consumer will notice a huge improvement in performance.  And the original point - that Taylormade Stealth hasn't done well because they are not good?  completely disagree  They have gotten a lot of publicity for the face durability, though.  I'll grant you that.

For years now I’ve said Taylormade Is not a golf club company, they are marketing company. All numbers the same in a fitting TM is being sold to your avg Joe.

It's the same head,  just adjustable. Somebody brought up wanting an adjustible version,  I told them what to look for.   Always gotta be that one guy tho....

I thought this was WRX, where smart golfers who know everything about clubs and club designs came and discussed what works and what don't........ dayyyyyyyuuummmmmm I guess I came to the wrong place, huh?

So nobody cares that the "adjustable club" has 8 grams of weight in the heel area due to the adjuster hosel and screw and receptacle, and in the non-adjustable version there isn't any, so how do you redistribute that weight......? I guess you guys like that weight in the heel area to help you flip it dead left, huh? And wonder why it feels so weird when you try to add weight to the head elsewhere with rat or hot melt or lead tape or whatever.....

but nevermind eh, it's all good, enjoy that fitting head........

lol

You're so right.  I probably should look at another 3 wood.   The two par 5s I hit in my last round  from 260 out were trash shots with a trash club.

The guy asking wanted an adjustable club, if he cared about any of that he wouldn't be asking for one. Not sure why that's hard to understand.   You should spend some time in the instruction area if 8 grams of weight makes you flip it dead left.

The fitting head is an option...however, a few keys

1. I don't believe it's confirming since TM doesn't submit it for compliance

2. It doesn't allow a flatter lie.

I do hope TM brings an adjustable std fwy. They're the only major oem that doesn't do it on their forgiving 3w head. Then they could also make it 56 lie and allow folks to go more upright as needed.

I was looking at the current TPMC and TPMB over the weekends. I think Taylormade clubs are really good. The shape is just not my fav from address. They are pretty round and the hosel top line transition is not my fav. Especially in the 8,9, PW. They kinda look old school Mizuno'ish to me..

Would love to see a straight topline and more square toe. I get that everyone is different and many will disagree. But that is what I like.

Considering it didn't sell the last time it was available I am not sure they will ever come back. It had a small loyal following, I think the idea of they was really really good. Just not the best executed and sold.

I’ve always wonder if they were confirming or not….however I do feel like I’ve seen at least one in a tour WITB post.

Somebody in the rules area, probably @davep043 since he seems to know the book inside out, could answer it better...but I believe there's a local rule that has to be in place for the confirming list to become an issue. Unless you're playing at the tour level or high level event, or have a weird weekend money game, it's probably not an issue.  I could be way off base tho.  Heck, with all those snap hooks we hit with them most people might encourage it.
