Stealth line is great and get plenty of play on tour. And if pros play other clubs it’s because other companies make great drivers as well. This idea that one company makes a significantly better product is ridiculous and it’s been that way for a few years now.

The only reason I could see them ditching carbon would be the durability issue. I have no idea how many heads they are replacing but it does seem like they fail a lot. But then they would have a lot of egg on their face because they’ve been marketing so aggressively for 2 years. It would be like callaway saying “forget AI. We’ve gone back to real humans designing the clubs.”

I doubt it happens. My money is they stick to carbon and will tout some other major advance, which is not really a big advance. Which is basically what every company does these days.

I guess my thinking is that if the BRNR has been a big success then they will build around it in some fashion. I have to say I personally love the Colour scheme of the BRNR. And I also bought the Firesole as my first Taylormade clubs so that colour kind of stuck with me.

How many people are raving about the Srixon and Mizuno drivers?
some companies make significantly better drivers then others.
titleist driver sales way up. Ping is selling a ton of drivers.
Every time I talk to the local reps. Taylormade sales are way down this year. I think it is fine to make a titanium and a carbon model. I see too many of Taylormades tour players going back to old models

Where I work Titleist wood sales are stagnant and hardly get pulled for testing. Their new T series irons are doing alright but are slower than expected. Doesn’t help their price jumped up $250 Cdn. Ping 430 woods and 430/230 irons are steady. Stealth 2 models are out selling Titleist and Ping by a 4:1 ratio. TM P790 (old and new) are selling exceptionally well for a broad handicap range. P770 sales are probably a victim of the new P790 release and price drop on the prior gen P790. P7MC/MB get little interest.

Sure TM markets their products like crazy but they are all solid performers.

You seem to by implying that certain companies don't sell because they make an inferior product.  Completely disagree.  The average golfer will see minimal benefit from Titleist or Callaway vs. Mizuno or Srixon.  Show me the objective testing that shows that an average golfer is seeing a significant loss of performance from a Srixon driver.  It doesn't exist.  People fall for marketing.  And some of that marketing is what's played on Tour.

And your opinion is largely based on what you see on tour.  You see Morikawa using a Sim and Brooks ditching his Srixon so you assume the Stealth 2 or Srixon is crap and "not selling".  I don't know where you get sales numbers.    But I don't have sales numbers and I don't pretend to know what they are.  But I don't think 99% of consumers really know or care if Morikawa is using a Sim.  And certainly don't base their purchases on it.

My point stands.  Many companies make a good product.  Most consumers will do just fine with a Mizuno driver.  And if they choose to pay more for a Callaway or Titleist, it's because they are marketed better.  Not because the consumer will notice a huge improvement in performance.  And the original point - that Taylormade Stealth hasn't done well because they are not good?  completely disagree  They have gotten a lot of publicity for the face durability, though.  I'll grant you that.

With all the QC and warranty noise in these threads, I can see why they wouldn’t want to swim in the shallow end of the pool.

I have a Stealth 3 wood, and would love to see an adjustable model so I can flatten the lie. A new P760 would also get my attention. Looking forward to the new TP5.

I may be wrong but is that not what a Stealth + is ?
