According to the front page article, the Jailbird Mini CH is due for release in February!  Looking forward to the reviews until then.

Seems like the "AI" insert is just deadening the center of the face to make consistent ball speeds across the face.

Ping TR grooves weren't very popular on tour, the Evnroll stuff didn't do well on tour, and I'm guessing this won't either.

The top Callaway pros will get a bonus for putting these in play in the off-season and itll come right out of the bag when they want their old one back. Or some pros will get pseudo-versions where the insert and etc is removed for the regular style with no AI.

Will these be coming to the garage as custom options?

I really want an AUSTIN with a short slant and I am losing my mind trying to find one or something comparable

Toulon is gone, they are back on their own again. They are planning to release 2024 models. So you can probably get a slant neck Austin at some point but it won't be "AI" anything.

My understanding is a 90g graphite, with counterweight.

SL90 lightweight steel, some reviewers saying it’s still the same but ‘inside’ which appears to be just parroting the marketing as none of them know what that actually means.

Where is everyone already getting a chance to roll these? Are the big box stores allowing you all to roll a few putts, but just not selling them yet?

The Daytona is my favorite putter. My putting stroke changed. So face balanced isn’t the best for me in this season. Seeing the slant neck on the new model made me happy

That likely rules it out for me, I moved from the Le Mans to the Daytona and it really works for me, having to go back to the 11 shape would not work for me, slant neck won’t.

the whole Toulon split is very garbled by callaway.

Not coming up on the eu site for orders as yet, may be US only. Not saying the SL90 isn’t a suitable shaft, but raising the price, using a cheaper shaft makeup, and claiming it is the ‘same inside’ is pretty shabby practise.

I am to the point that I am kinda over all the graphite shaft stuff as well. I would probably pull whatever shaft is there and put in a CT tour shaft.

Videos don't seem to be flooding YouTube like they typically do following the release/embargo lift on new clubs. I still can't understand the performance difference between the two. The Cool Clubs testing gave a compelling case that there was a noticeable improvement with the Milled one. But if that was white hot version, would those putts have went in the hole instead of being 6" closer than the Scotty? I wish they would test it as well. Maybe they will soon.

Odyssey's claim

I know, this is the performance difference between the two that I'm referring to. In the Cool Clubs test (from around 16 feet), would the AI One Urethane be going in the hole instead of coming up inches short like the milled version? That's what I would like to see them test. Somebody good at math needs to take the Cool Clubs numbers and apply the 21%/7% claim to that and see how it changes. I guess you'd have to account for the difference in testing from 32" and 16' though. I'm sure they'll eventually test the Urethane model as well. They do lots of robot testing.

They wouldn't be going in, they would be closer to the hole than the Milled, more consistently. At least that's how I understand it.

Couldn’t fight the temptation to hit the local shop at lunch to try these out. I tried both the milled and non milled insert versions. I preferred the milled. I also brought my trusted gamer to compare (Scotty Button Back). I took a few pictures for comparisons too.

I was impressed by the milled 1. Easily one of the best Odyssey putters I’ve tried. The feel is comparable to my button back and it felt very stable with the sole weighting and counter balancing of the new shaft. The look is much cleaner than odysseys old shafts. Distance control was very good and consistency was excellent. Pretty much like the posted videos. A couple others who were putting with different putters told me I found the right one after draining quite a few putts with it. I have some rewards with Callaway so seems like a no brainer to order one. The blue PVD finish looks nice and is a subtle blue. I’m tempted to custom order the black Toulon stepless shaft with it instead of the silver one it comes with.

The non milled version will appeal to those who like a softer feel. My consistency with the non milled was not as good but they are also nice putters. Odyssey has done a great job on this new line and it will appeal to many golfers.

That 1 looks so good at address. Man I have no clue which model to go with. I had actually just about decided on the 3T. I'm in a rural area and an hour from the closest golf store that would have them. I may just have to be patient and wait until I can go see them in person.

Does anyone know why the Odyssey scripting is so low in the cavity? Is that something to do with the area behind the insert being thicker in different places?
