Just one more small reason to add to my dislike of Rahm.

why he has good reason not to play, TGL is just another exhibition like LIV. The PGA tour should have just allowed their players to play where they want.

Didn't they offer Tiger $750M?  No way Rahm is worth $600 in value.  Dude is going to look like Darren Clark within 6 months of signing.

Well Tiger isn't worth $750M he is pretty much done as all he can do is exhibition golf now, why do you think he is behind this TGL. The Golf scene is getting to be nothing but a joke as the Greed continues to grow here in the States.

Oh and he is the only one who has been complaining lately right.

Having access to Tiger's brand may have been worth it to them.

Well we all just need to wait and see how this all unfolds as far as Rahm joining LIV that too is what we need to do is wait and see as Phil is a BS artist

While I whole heartedly agree with you, here's the problem:

they take the money, but they don't run. They continue to come back and trash the PGAT. Nothing wrong with taking the bag, but please, please go away.

Most LIV golfers feel it's their duty to convince the rest of the public how great the other tour is, maybe they're contractually obligated to do so, but I find those efforts more like snake oil salesmen.😀

Isn't this similar to what we do when certain fan boys want to brag on a certain OEM that they play and try to convince people how much better their brand is better than anyone else. Now the only exception is now you're dealing with millionaires bragging on their tour over the PGA. Tell me this if it's not true, hasn't certain players on LIV already made much more money than they have in all the years they played on the PGA tour.  All thanks to GREED This country has become so divided among itself and other countries that the only opinion that will matter is the one who is making the most money

Is it really Greed or is it opportunity? You have a rogue nation of bad actors😆 trying to buy your sport whether you want to sell it or not. The PGAT will be fine, once they figure out a way to retain its talent the other tour will perish because poaching is the only way they can survive.

Heh, I thought about adding the caveat “assuming they act remotely reasonable”. Which probably doesn’t happen when you’re several generations deep and have lost all concept of the meaning of having and not having money.

I'm not sure if the other Tour will perish as we will have to wait and see. The way I see it is the only way the PGAT can retain its talent is by dangling the carrot/money or as you called it poaching as Money talks and BS walks. It's getting to be a circus out there in the Golfing World that only the rich are going to survive all because of GREED

People come and go in everything - sports, business, entertainment, politics, everything.

And things roll along with a new batch of people and new customers.

The PGA Tour is in the entertainment business more than sports.

Too many businesses now try to give the customer what they think the customers wants, instead of giving them what they want.

If you build it, they will come.

Just get on with it. Everyone is expendable.

I believe LIV golf was on the ropes before the Alliance agreement. No viewership, No sponsors, No new signings, an embarrassing agreement with the CW, and the scorn of the golf world with Greg N. circling the drain.

At that point, the PGAT was operating from a position of strength. They were able to get rid of the lawsuits and have access to new revenue. Perfect!

All they had to do was endure being called a Hypocrite.😆

Now guess what? The membership is voting on whether to take the money or not (which they will)

Rahm might not be worth 600 million in the traditional sense, but in terms of timing the impact would be large. It feels like LIV needs to make a big splash to continue to stay relevant.

How do you stay something you’ve never been?  Some may still care about some of the players but how many really care about LIV as a whole or their “favorite “ team?

This is a reference to Mark Knopfler, the lead singer from Dire Straits who sang Money For Nothing, which I'm assuming was a reply to @fixyurdivot

And if you neglect to put him in your top ten guitarists of all time then we're going to have a problem.

None of the players they got will bring them any a net profit, which is why LIV is trying to force the PGA Tour to bail them out

I recall that the offer to Tiger was to be the commissioner.  They also made an offer to Jack for the same position.

And it would have been accepted right off the bat had either been the commish... further proves Sharky and his vendetta is the problem.
