I hope they release another cringey hype “documentary “ like last time. And if they don’t release the mini driver I’m going to riot.

If you consider the Titleist marketing “cringey”, how do you classify the TM marketing?

I would expect it from TM to be honest. The Titleist video reeked of hubris and leather books.

Just got fit for a TSR3 but I would wait on the new one if they are going to be here in time for this season. Is there any real chance of that or is the price drop this early more of a market forces thing?

Not too many have the patience to wait until August.

And the tsr line was damn good. It will be tough to top that.

 Not for the public launch.

Nope.  When our head pro goes to Titleist fitting center to be trained on how to fit the new drivers.   Told me today.  No idea what it’s called or the specs.  Anyone see anything yet on USGA?  And for the love of God, does anyone know if the MB/CB line will ever get a re fresh?  Not that they need one.  Just asking.

July 4th is pretty much my cutoff. If it were going to come out by then I'd consider waiting but sounds like it will be September before these hit the streets.

Yep, that's the same time frame for me.  They haven't told us or anyone really the name or any info.  I would think the USGA pics will be out the week of or week before the Tour Seeding, which my guess is the Canadian Open at the end of the month or the Charles Schwab right after the PGA.;  Total guess no inside info.

But even then the USGA pics are rarely close to what the finished product usually looks like.  Everyone always says how bad and boring the look thinking it's the finished product.

Last I heard is no updates to the MB/CB line anytime soon.  So many of the Tour Staff are slowly transitioning the the T100.   Would surprise me if one  of the new T Series releases in the next couple cycles adds something similar to those to go along side the T100.  Again just a guess, no real info.

I am quite happy with my TSR1 12* driver, and i have a TSR3 11* driver that will probably see bag time later this summer if/when my swing speed improves and consistency - likewise.  The only thing that I would be interested in is a TSR1 replacement with a larger, shallower profile, like the Ping G430 Max 10K.

The new woods won't be released to the public by July 4th.  Staff fittings will be in and around that time and they usually get the clubs out to staff members about a month before the public can get them.  If the discount that is already in effect for TSR is the deciding factor for you, then I would pull the trigger now.  If not, I would wait....but I (and this is just me) would want to get that same fitting you just had for the new driver which means an additional cost, longer lead time, and of course, you won't have it for your golf season.

If you get the TSR3 set up for you with the right shaft, etc., that club should be very playable for 3 - 4 years.  Lots of Titleist staffers playing older models.  Some kid named Brian won a little tournament outside Liverpool with a TSi2 last year, as ugly as it was.  With the current discount....

I just wish Titleist didn't wipe out the previous models from their retail offerings when a new one comes out. I'd be all over a semi-discounted TSR when this year's iteration drops. I can't see them changing much, best looking drivers on the market imo

As you know, they purposely do that, so the market will focus on new offerings, as opposed to old.  Not to mention the cost of maintaining inventory of old product is not something any good CEO would support, it hurts the P&L.

I've been a Titleist equipment user since 2005ish... Since TSR2 overwhelming success, I can't imagine what they will change and or improve in the next series.  I am looking forward to the new and greatest.

Only quoting you because you saying TM releases new gear every year reminded me.

Went into my local golf shop a few days ago. I hadn’t been in in a while. A big rack of the new Qi whatever and directly across the isle are two giant cardboard drums of unsold Stealth 2s. Not sure what my point is other than, can’t sell the old ones, here’s a truck load of the new stuff!

🤣

All Golf OEMs are merchandisers, only some vendors are way more into it than others.  Titleist is a minimalist merchandiser, always has been, big on tour.  Whereas TM is maybe #1 while Callaway is the #2 merchandiser.  That style of marketing means they keep hitting the market with new product, sometimes introducing multiple products per year, cycles vary.  However, that often equates to cosmetic improvements, and deep discounting of the old, then removing it and dumping it on international vendors.

I just think carbon will be added to head to bring down the sharp  loudish sound the tsr line makes. Maybe save some weight also and be more forgiving and hotter off face by just a little. Probably sliding track horizontally also? My guess.

IF Titleist does this (they won't), the amount of "TM copycat" comments will crash the golfwrx website.

I doubt Titleist is moving to carbon, but I honestly wouldn't mind it, as long as they keep the traditional shaping and clean design concepts.

As a longtime Titleist loyalist, I'm going to be a Ping guy this season and had G430 10K 10.5* here recently and now a regular G430 12*.  I surprised at such heavy back weights that these came with -> 25g & 28g , whereas stock TSR2 weights are 9g.  Surely that carbon crown allows for such large weight placement to aid in stability / MOI.  I've had every Titleist driver since the 909 and will order whatever the next Titleist driver is, along with a 18* FW and 20* Hybrid.

I don’t think the ATI face is going away. titlesit’s story is that they own all of that material and the only way competitors could keep up was by using carbon.

So why wouldn't they move to carbon with the ATI face and kill everyone if that is the case???
