My bet would be on Titleist Speed Control but I don’t think they want to be associated with speed control.

 

 

They pick a letter that works with their focus groups, and then back into meaning. 
 

I bet my lunch money there was a whiteboard that had:

TSi

Intelligent

iteration

Ignite

At this point it can only be an incremental improvement of maintaining speed/spin over more of the face. 
 

All the OEMs have the same models of varying face thickness to detune the sweet spot to make the mishits relatively better

Probably not much interest in a driver, not sure how they improve on TSR4, but might be time to replace the TSi 3/5w.

I second this; I messed around on the Titleist website the other day and put a current TSR with a Tensei 1k White Pro in the cart and it was already at $919 without a grip upgrade or tax.  Let's face it, drivers with upgraded shafts are minimum $700.

Easily. Went to a TM demo day recently at my club and the driver was $855 with the demo day 10% discount for members with Ventus TR shaft.

TSR3, and yes, it's almost identical (top line). I've kept my 905R all these years and the shapes are very similar.

This can be a good debate. The TSR3 is more a bigger 905S but in terms of how the 905R was designed and played and how the TSR2 is I find them to be very similar. I didn't say the 3 because the face is much deeper and more workable than the R was.

My AI Smoke TD with Ventus Red TR was a $950 build through Callaway that’s why I went with People’s Golf.

Local shop had dropped $50 off their in stock tsr’s.  Hmm…..

I talked to a guy who works at Acushnet/Titleist at my club yesterday.  He confirmed that the internal club development folks are raving about the new driver and are saying it's the best thing they've ever done, but no one else has seen it yet.  All the marketing/promo materials are under lock and key and no one has leaked the naming scheme yet.

I got really lucky as a long time Venus player and lucked out the stock HZRDUS Black was hands down the best fit for me. Even tried the whole Ventus line to be sure and they weren’t even close. One of the few times in my life that a stock offering has been the right shaft for me. The last one was the strong shaft in the original GBB drivers I think!lol!

I just don’t know how you improve upon the TSR line. TSR converted me back from a Taylormade run since around when they moved to the 917 series. Played the 910 & 915 series for a while.
