No news here, but last year there was the same hype communication about R&D and internal titleist guys raving about TSR. 
 

If it’s another step forward like TSR it will be another slam dunk.

I mean TSr3 and TSi3 are almost identical. The only big upgrades were TSr2 & TSr4.

Really? I actually found a much tighter dispersion going from TSi3 to TSr3. Same loft and shaft

I'm still in my Tsi - found basically no difference on Trackman, and I preferred the feel of my old one.

Exactly.  Im fortunate to peronally know a few people at Titlesist who so know al the details ans are involved in the design.  And they have told me nothing….of course them knowing im active here and another site might have something to do with that.

 

Like the rest of us, i’ll sit wait and see just how they improve on TSR.   I can aay this.  One of them did tell me when i asked how it could be better..”I’m glad thats not my job” 😬

Agree. Did not see reason to upgrade the 3. I did crack both faces in my TSI 3 and 5W, but the driver is holding up fine. Titeslist was excellent about replacing. The upgrade to the 3 series hybrid and FW in the R were fantastic though. They need a 7W in the 3 series this gen.

FYI most big box stores have offered reductions on the TSR series of drivers, fairways and hybrids. Usually a sign of something new coming soon.

Titleist just dropped prices on all their woods and fairways. Thinking IMO we’re going to see the new line a lot sooner rather than later. They typically don’t drop prices this early unless the new releases are right around the corner 🙂

Same. I even gave the TSR demo a pretty good run. No real difference save for the sound, and I prefer TSi

The TSi3 fairway was almost unhittable to me. My rep said even among tour pros the adoption was extremely low and most went with the TSi2

 

Unlike the driver, I think the TSi3 ---> TSr3 fairway woods were one of the biggest improvements I've seen.

They just need to fix the look of the TSr2. They have lost me in the fairways as of this season, TSr3 looks great to me but got outperformed.

Agreed! If memory serves... On tour the TSi2 FW's were played far more than the TSi3.  But I believe now the TSr3's are played more than the TSr2's

I never hit the TSi3.  Went from TS3 to TSr3.

Im on my 4th TSi 3 wood head after cracking 3 others, theyve all been replaced but its been annoying, i really like the latest head but if that cracks i'll go to the tsr as a replacement to match my 5w which is great.

We had four different low handicap players (including myself) felt the same way. We would all comment, that with the TSi3 3 wood you would either hit the best shot in your life or straight into and area requiring a penalty stroke.

It’s refreshing to hear all of these comments. I had a tsi3 3 wood that I just couldn’t hit and it killed me. I also bought a tsi2 on BST and it was night and day difference. I still have some bad shots but I swear like 80% of them were bad with the 3.

Maybe mine just fits me really well, but I went from 917 to TSi3 and found the TSi to be better and I actually like it. I had a brief go with TSR2 and went back to the TSi 3 wood. Looks like I'm the weirdo

Curious why you thought that video series was cringey?  They had very senior people in the videos explaining why they designed the clubs the way they did and why they used specific materials.  No other company has done anything like that that I know of in the past, so it was original.  Of all the major manufacturers, Titleist is far and away the least "gimmicky" from the way they name their clubs, their print marketing material, their TV commercials, etc.  They are the gold standard imo.
