1st in sg approach and off the tee again.

I know his putting is a little more solid, but he stepped up the rest of his game too. It's just silly at this point.

Going old school stats he's hitting 74% of his fairways this year and same number for GIR. This week is even higher.

Scotty will win more majors than Tiger.

this seems crazy to suggest it.

Both Jack and Tiger had 6 by age 27.   Scottie is one year older than that with two.   However Jack and Tiger both had at least two years after 6 where they didn’t win.
it’s conceivable that Scottie will have 5 in a grand slam this year.

tigers number 2 was Phil, who was better than Rory, but both Rory and Phil are not as mental as Scottie, Tiger and Jack.

one thing for Scottie is that (we don’t think) his life is as messy as Tigers was.   He seems more like Jack in having a good balance, and being able to focus on golf.   Tiger’s focus on golf was an escape for what else was going on.

Scottie is unlikely to break his body in the way Tiger did.

lastly, LIV could have an impact.   LIV drains the talent pool and takes them to a place where victory is not as important.   Those players want money, not trophies.   If Rahm and Brooks were on the Tour, would Scottie be looking at 4 wins in the last 5?   Would those two been a bigger factor in Augusta?   Will they not be a factor in the next 3 this year?

so it’s not as crazy as it sounds at first.   Not just Tiger, but Scottie could top Jack.

yeah it’s still crazy to say it when he only has two.   But he is freaking awesome.

I am very curious to see how the baby impacts his game. He is a hard worker. You don’t just roll out of bed with perfect chipping and distance control on the irons.

I agree, it does seem crazy.  Scotty is the type of player that will still WIN with his C game.  The other guys know they need their A game to beat him and that simply isn't sustainable.  He's a generational talent, like Tiger and Jack.  If he doesn't focus on becoming a wanna be Navy Seal or take an interest in a Waffle House waitress, we'll get to be witness to one hell of a run.

Actually Tiger had 8 majors (not 6) when he turned 27 in December 2002. He had 10 majors by the time he turned 30 in December 2005. Scheffler turns 28 in just 2 months.

Obviously if he passes Tiger, Scheffler will need some pretty special stuff in his 30’s and probably 40’s to get there. I am curious to see how the duties of fatherhood will impact his game, especially the sharpness in his chipping and iron game.
