Even the current retail Select line is identical as Tour except the Tour gets GSS and aluminium face insert options on top of Tour engraving. For $2K less, keep your CT engraving on the head and sole weights!

I wasnt talking about "Tour" OTR's. Those have never made sense to me. What I was referring to was more like the 009/Cameron&Co/Timeless market.

I would not expect someone who uses a Taylormade Spider to appreciate the differences between the various Newport 2 and Newport iterations.

Yeah, I'm sure Dustin, Jason and Rory can't appreciate the differences either. LOL

It was an honest observation dude. You clearly don't appreciate the differences. I do--as do many others as evidenced in this thread. There's only one Scotty Cameron NP2 head style that fits my eye. I posted a photo earlier in this thread. All others have something about them that are different and, in my opinion, worse. Flange width, face height, offset, bumper slope, topline thickness, face milling, feel off the face, material, color--you name it. But they all look pretty much the same to you. Nothing wrong with that.

I'm not a wine guy. I could drink a $10 bottle of Cabernet or a $100 bottle and could not tell you why, or if, one was better than the other. Nothing wrong with that either. The nuances of Scotty Cameron NP2's and Newports (and 009's) is like the nuances of Scotch, wine, cigars, cars and the like. Some get it, some don't. And that's OK.

you're wasting your breath with this guy... anyone that would argue these putters are comparable to what Cameron has been producing for the last 10 years obviously has no idea what they're talking about.

If you don't see the typical snark in Mr Hogan's reply I don't know what to tell you.

If you don't see the obvious similarities in the models I don't know what to tell you.

"Subtle" differences ? I'm sure there are. Enjoy. Vive la différence.

Guys. Don’t fall for Lucy holding the football again. No chance anything remotely close to those hits retail. The otr putters and tour versions haven’t been close since around 2004ish. Gradually farther gap since then.

Scotty or someone in his camp, read this thread.

If I want an insert I'll go to odyssey or ping (smh).

I want you to be "players classic". Meaning: when I'm done looking for a micro second truer roll or straighter impact... I look for a scotty.

I just want a Milled clean look at address without determining what 3M tape u used on your sticky notes to attach it.

Well balanced and clean, with no inserts. I guess Cleveland is the only one that can do it... huge milling in the faces which robs from feel.

Stop creating putters that give the average guy no feel....

We always complain about the weekend hack with nothing other than massive junk putters. Give us something close to the real deal. Put your 500 dollar price tag on it and it will move.

I really hope these are the next line of Cameron Selects, these look amazing and just might get me to sideline my Studio Stainless Newport 2.

Does anyone have any further insight on these? Are these going to be the new Tour milling like the “Masterful”?

On a side note, it looks like Kaymer is gaming one this week at the Memorial.

Man, I'm late to the bandwagon.

It has been hard to spend money on Scotty OTR in the last several years. My last OTR purchase was the 2012 Select line ... If this shape comes without inserts and excessive dots (9 dots, anyone?), I'm seriously debating to purchase one. Scotty even will have a nice story "simple minimalist design ...". On the other hand, I'm sure many of you have seen what Toulon has come up with Santa Monica (basically, Anser 2 shape). If the revised Santa Monica will come to retail, it'll seriously give this NP2 run for the money.

2020 is going to be an interesting (and expensive) year.

If the plan is to release these to retail end of year Tiger swapping out his old trusty NP2 would certainly be a boost to sales!!! No way Don misses that kind of opportunity right?

BINGO! Just posted this in another thread, Rig!
