Nice catch!

Very nice, much looks like my 815 Alpha. I do sense that I see the turbolators when zooming in, very subtle and seems not colored. A sharpie would take car if the white / green that does indeed appear to be visible on top of the back crown

Better get use to the green. Apparently, that green is the "color of the year" and will pop up everywhere (TM is also using it on the bottom of the M's). Those are raised bumps, similar to last year's XR courtesy of Boeing, but with a high gloss finish instead of the previous year's matte finish.

I like!

Think it's the standard GBB Epic? The non SZ because it has the Chevron?

Both heads had it, which surprised me.

That's correct, it's the regular version of the Epic. The SZ version has the removable weights with no track.

Are they both 460cc? Also, has anyone tested these against the 2016 sub zero?

The Evo 2 in the Epic SZ is a combo I am itching to try, still probably end up with an XT70 in it though.

Epic SZ was way more forgiving than OG Sub Zero for me...not even close.

My 2 pros hit both versions yesterday and gave me a little feedback. The head pro is 50ish, has a very nice, repeatable swing and consistently hits his driver 275-280ish and hits a bunch of fairways. The assistant pro is 30ish, very solid player and bombs it 295-300 and is also very consistent, but maybe a little less consistent than the head pro off the tee.

Head Pro: Couldn't get enough launch angle with the SZ version and figured out very quickly that it wasn't for him. He then hit the regular version against his gamer on trackman, and found that the Epic was consistently 8 yards longer for him. Dispersion was similar to his current driver. He was impressed with the Epic and said he really didn't expect to find something that could replace his gamer, but he did.

Assistant Pro: Hit the regular Epic and the spin numbers were too high for him. He then hit the SZ version, and the spin came down to 2400 rpms consistently. He liked the way it felt and said that based on the numbers, it was consistently carrying 4 yards further than his gamer. He plans to upgrade to the SZ version.

Neither of them thought that this was a game changer, but both were impressed with the Epic series and both of them think it will be in their bags next season.

Moral of this story for me was that I will clearly need to try both before making any decisions.

That makes sense and agree based on my testing.

8 yards for the Head Pro is significant. What was his gamer setup?

His gamer is the 816 GBB. I think he plays a Diamana Blueboard shaft but not sure. He used his gamer shaft to test the Epic drivers. He did not experiment with any shafts. I agree that 8 yards is significant, and so does he, but I think he and I hold a higher standard for the term "game changer". As I said, he will be changing over to the Epic GBB. He is a scratch golfer and hits a lot of fairways and greens; he and I think while 8 yards is nice for him and means potentially one less club into the green, it probably won't translate into a significant impact to his handicap and scoring average.

How did he gain 8 yards? Spin or ball speed? If it's just spin that's irrelevant cuz there's 20 drivers that spin less than GBB

+1

I arrived at a local course to meet a friend of mine and a gentlemen was leaving the range. I glanced at his bag and saw the Epic headcover. I asked him if I could see it and he was hesitant. He said "I'm not supposed to show anyone" but let me check it out for a few minutes when I told him I wouldn't take a picture. Damn pretty club. Didn't get to hit it but it sure looked like it set up closed. I mean really closed. Felt very light but it is damn good looking.

Definitely not closed.....or even appear closed.,...

Wouldn't it if he had the adapter on a higher loft?

Callaways adapter, being a dual cog system, does very little if anything to face angle when you adjust the loft either way.

Completely disagree when you add loft the face angle closes without question!
