I hit the epic sub zero yesterday with a few different shafts and callaway has a real winner . Solid. super low spin and nice penetrating flight. They are going to give Taylormade a run for their money with this head

I think the darker colour on the head will probably appeal to more and will invoke certain RFxtreme memories. The head cover is kinda sparky looking...I might even use it even if I don't have the driver^^ Now, hopefully, I will need to make room for another Cally driver :~) The sad part, I probably won't even get close to one before I get home next summer for vacation, and even less chance to find a LH head in this part of Asia. :dntknw:

Agreed, the head should be the lime color! Ala MD3s etc.

I think at this point, they should just give us the full picture. As far as I'm concerned, the look at address is the most important part of the club aesthetically, and since TaylorMade have released their new clubs, I think it's a little silly for Callaway not to try and take some of that buzz.

 

Also, does anyone else think the sole of the Epic (sans green) looks seriously like a 915D3?

Ugh I really hate the green on the sole. I'm praying the crown looks much better.

 

Can anybody who has seen the crown at least let us know if it looks nice? I know looks shouldn't outweigh performance, but green is just not a great color for a golf club.

As I and a few others have mentioned, the crown is a bit busy for most peoples liking. There is a small bit of green towards the back. There are the raised aerodynamic bumps as well as a line up line. It also has the black fading to carbon fiber look. Not terrible, but definitely busy IMO.
