The balls tiger played in early 2000'S were bridgestones made for Nike.

 

Later, I'm not certain, we got different stories at different times.

Through the ONE Tour/Tour D series. Once Nike started using the RZN material (20XI ball I believe) Nike found another ball manufacturer somewhere in Asia.

You're either lying or more interested in haterade if the you think idea of seeing what the former greatest player in the world is going to do with his equipment after being contractually obligated to play something for 20 years is not going to be interesting, if not to you than to many people here. Regarding the ball make, one time I believe I read on here somewhere that there are really only 3 different factories for golf balls, shared by most of the companies but I believe it was titleist does have their own factory and they allow others to use it as well? I might be mixing companies up, but I think that is what I read.

If correct that every manufacturer under the sun sent boxes and boxes to him to test, just having Tiger play your stuff for free is a bonus. Look at the amount of Nike guys playing TM woods, that's validation in itself at this point.

It is likely a place filler for these players until they sign a long term deal with an OEM and TM is likely offering the best compensation to bag woods only. I also highly doubt that Tiger is putting anything into play for free (with exception to the Scotty).

Of course. I happen to like the 330s quite a lot, but nothing is perfect for everyone.

 

The bottom line is that seeing what an otherwise terminally contracted player chooses to play when freed from said contract is INTERESTING, just as it was interesting that Brandt Snedeker had one of the best years of putting with an ancient Odyssey you could grab for $10 on eBay. The Tiger haters are just as boring and predictable as the Tiger fanboys with their either 100% criticism or 100% support of anything relating to him, its just irritating.

 

The guy is extremely particular about his equipment so IDGAF what your opinion is about him, what he chooses to play now that he can choose anything is going to be significant to a lot of people, whether it relates to their game or not. There are plenty of things to learn either way, like the fact that Tiger needs more spin sincehe tries to work the ball both ways with the driver, meaning his choice in driver head, shaft, and ball are all going to mean something that anyone could learn from given his goal.

Probably no real reason to. Hes got exactly what he needs out of the Nike wedges in terms of shape, loft, bounce, grind etc etc, what else do you need? Same with the irons, hes got an iron that works for him, no real technology gains anywhere else. That is why you're likely to see changes in ball, fairway woods, drivers, and shafts since that is where the technology is.
