Your going to like it! The stock recoil is shockingly really good!

It looks like I have quite a bit of Recoil in my bag. I hit it great in the simulator in Golf Galaxy. Probably the kiss of death.

 

It'll get a good workout today. I am playing in an outing with the MD/DC/VA group here and we are playing from the red tees. Perfect for a lot of hybrids

Sweet hybrid.....I love the Apex Hybrid so much though that i haven't even checked out the market on hybrids. I mean the 13 Callaway clubs i'm using are just so awesome

I hit the ball straighter as I get older. I guess losing a little club speed means I can't hit it as far sideways

 

The Epic hybrid is legit. I used it at least 6 times this morning and each was long, high, and straight. Not as long as my 5 wood, but about 15 yds longer than my 5 iron.

I'm actually getting really comfortable with my Versa 1W....it's lighter which is hard for me, but midsummer on fast greens it's a lot easier to use.

Well, I did it! I went and got fitted for a Epic driver and just got home from playing my first round with it. It did not disappoint. Even though I'm getting old with a driver SS of 86-92 I was fitted into a 10.5 with a stiff Hzrdus shaft. One of my complaints about the Ping G I had was it spun the hell out of the ball and seemed like it just fell out of the sky. I realize these aren't WRX numbers but I went from 190-200 yard carry to 210 carry. The best part is I had 3 drives tonight roll out to just short of 240! That's big for me. I'm even hitting a slight draw where before everything was a small fade. We've been flooded out around here so I can't wait until it drys out a bit and I can get some real roll out. I'm damn near Giddy!

Nice! I went from the Ping G25 to the Epic and the spin dropped drastically. It's fun to see a drive roll

I am waffling on picking up a set of the CFs. I have a ton of trade in credit at Global Golf that would cover most of it, although, I'd have to get the XP95 shaft. The Callaway site has 150% trade in value on new Apex or Steelhead XR until the end of the month. I'd trade my old XRs and pick up the CFs with the shaft I want

 

Unless it's a used set you are looking at, call them. I got shafts in my JPX900 combo set that weren't listed on the website dropdowns.

Preordered a Black 7s today. Couldn't resist. I think I was the only one from the group that didn't get an O-works during the fitting. I just couldn't get over the color scheme, I've never liked the Versa paint. Now that black is an option I need one.

Well playing in a tournament today i hit the ball onto a cart path. Water on one side, sloped hill on the other.....

 

I had no choice. Played a full 7 iron off the cement.

 

Never have i been so happy to be a picker. But the iron didn't get out unscathed. Got a nice scrape on the bottom now

 

Also i hit the ball OB twice and shot 79. The h*ll with Ping the Epic is back in the bag LOL

I still have no yearning to purchase anything, which is very odd indeed given my past history. This is the longest I have held on to a full set. I have 85 official rounds so far this season, and beaucoup practice sessions. I clean my grips on a regular basis and they still feel nice and tacky...this is one case where tacky is good.

 

The only thing I would like to have are 3 more head covers (the tartan one's we received), for my other two fairway woods and the one hybrid.
