Tiger has access to the best Doctors on the planet, and look at what we have. Nothing is going to turn it around. Even if by some miracle he was fully healthy (whatever that means) to swing away; he's mentally finished. Yes, it is true, the guy who once was a mental giant, unbeatable, is now fragile. Once that confidence goes it is pretty damn hard to get it back; and while trying, time marches on, new injury to find.

 

There just isn't any realistic scenario under which we see TW win again.

Hardly ghosting. I've said in other threads he's surpassed expectations given in January 17 he could hardly pick a tee out the ground. He's done his part and come back and competed and won.

 

I'm still not convinced about his longevity though. The swing, the speed etc is so high impact that competing regularly is going to take a lot out of him.

 

Interesting to see what happens next season though.

What was your point? Were you not responding to the comment that Tiger carried Reed for 2 days? I personally wouldn't say Tiger carried Reed, since Tiger didn't play great either.

 

But by the way, Reed played Tyrrell Hatton on Sunday, who was also a Ryder Cup rookie (like Rahm). Rahm is a much better player than Hatton. Hatton, while of course still a great player, is arguably the worst player in the whole field (in front of maybe only Olesen).

this is pure hindsight and Monday morning quarterbacking but if Tiger was being truly honest he should have realized he was burnt out after the Tour Championship and should have just accepted being a non-playing asst. captain..
