Course is punishing bad play (Rahm and DJ) and rewarding good play (Rickie etc). Plenty of danger on every hole. Great set up imo.

I'm not surprised. I've played this course twice, its way too easy for a US Open course. Huge fairways, benign greens. If there's no wind the place is a cakewalk for good golfers. My buddy who is a 5 or 6 has shot mid 70s both times we've played there.

With more rain in the forecast here I don't know what they do about the greens...roll them all night? I played right before they closed it and the greens were more firm than this. I played with someone who can spin the hell out of it and he couldn't get the ball to stop like we are seeing this morning.
