There are some impressive names that are coming off the Cup, and won't be on it any longer.

 

Caps were also first team to score 3+ goals in every game in the Finals!

I can’t pretend to fully comprehend the relationships on here as a newbie, but it sure seems like y’all have developed some strong friendships/bonds. I believe there is a saying, when a soldier passes on. If I am mistaken, please tell me.

 

“When a soldier’s fight is finished, to Saint Peter he will tell;

 

‘One more soldier reporting, Sir! I’ve served my time in hell.’.”

 

Family lost a soldier, today. He served in Vietnam and was the only soldier to make it out of a foxhole alive after a shelling.

 

The hell he endured after that. I can only imagine. Thankfully, he is now at ease.

Has anybody had epoxy fail on a driver (or any graphite shafted club)? Did it creak/pop sometimes when hitting a ball?

 

There is a creaking sound when I hit my driver. When I grab the head and twist the shaft, it makes the same sound. I can’t see the shaft move but it kind of feels like it does. But that could just be my mind playing tricks on me.

It took me until the 5th time reading this to realize you didn’t mean you were rusty bc you started on hole 12. Need more on this guy. There are some odd things you see at courses in this area. Just spent 2 hours at blue mash practicing. One guy had a full set of PXG clubs in a top flight cart bag and another guy practicing with a caddy. He would have her clean off his wedge with a towel after every chip, hand him his water bottle, run to his bag to get a new wedge...

Going back to earlier this week: Was there debate over whether Worthington or PB Dye was tougher? Not even close. Worthington by a bunch. Kicked my a** today, but such a great design. So many visual mind fs.

Got a chance to finally work on my old stand bag legs today. Bag is not that old but had one leg that would snap closed when you picked it up but then sort of hang off the bag enough that it was annoying. I've had it happen before on old bags and usually end up tossing them. But the outside of the bag looks brand new, didn't want to toss it just yet.

 

Decided to pick up a bunch of different types/strengths of magnets off Amazon and try to work on a solution. Ended up with adhesive backed magnet squares on the fabric strip on the back of the bag and epoxied a small stack of really strong magnets onto the leg. Only epoxy on one magnet but they are strong enough they wont just fall off.

 

Doesn't look fancy but it actually seems to work. Legs snap closed and stay there but the magnet squares on the bag itself easily let it go when you put it down. If it turns out to actually hold up I will probably color the magnets.

Played 18 random holes today. Bounced around Hialeah for a while playing different holes. My buddy and I had an agreement that stroke holes would be what they were. Play a stroke hole twice good for him. Play them none good for me. After a while on Hialeah we played the back of original. Just a low key chill day. Really really good time. I was very good for a while and awful at the end. Was four over through our first fourteen and five over on the last four.

 

So for all the complaining that happens about handicaps it's worth noting that the grint, used by the hive, improperly calculates handicaps. The USGA manual says nothing of dropping nine hole scores. It also illustrates that those little things don't make much difference. I've only ever been a couple decimals different. I posted my nine hole score for my real handicap but won't bother on grint.

It needs to be possible to link your GHIN number and post scores via the grint. I’ve used Golfshot for a few years now. Unless I don’t know how to do it on the grint.

I don’t think we’ve officially met maybe at a DC golf outing but either way if you need any information let me know. I work for FDA in the orphan products group so we deal with rare diseases all the time and treatment. I’d recommend the Johns Hopkins group in Baltimore for treatment. Nothing against DC hospitals but Hopkins is there for a reason. I hope for nothing but the best. PM if you have questions.
