First birdie today in too long. Played front 9 of my local muni at 42. 3 pars and that birdie. If I hadn't made a mess of two holes, coulda been really good.

Won two nice events this year

 

First was a league Indy major at the home club. 73 with pins buried and greens double cut and rolled.

 

Interclub team event win was 2nd. 35 clubs. Team of four was 19 under. My partner and I were -15. I fired a 72 getting 4 dots and I missed two very short birdies and a 6 foot eagle - game was on fire

I hit my longest simulated drive ever yesterday, 353 yards. Man I can’t wait for spring to come! :)

Shot an 84 Saturday...new to me AP1 712's in the bag for the first time...not the best score but probably the best all around round I've had in a long time..finally got some hope that I will get my irons straightened out and start getting into the 70's consistently. Didn't think I would like the AP1's as much as I did...certainly realized how much better feel they have versus my Cleveland CG16's. After the first two rounds this year I was completely frustrated with iron play so anything was a step up.

I know the feeling. I practice and play every day and I always choke in tournaments. Even though I didn't win I was single digits over par both days in the rain on an unfamiliar course with out of bounds on all 18 holes of over 6,800 yards. I have another in 2 weeks and I cannot wait to try to do even better!

Well, I hit a 386 yd drive on a simulator of TPC Scottsdale last week.

 

Proceeded to duff my 50yd chip and and three putt for a double bogey after...

Hit some new drivers really good last night and set back to back ball speed records for myself on Trackman. Nothing can beat my 2016 M1 setup still. Got the highest ball speed off M3 with a much lighter shaft than I normally use but it was spinning too much so total distance was down.

I'm pretty close to playing some really good golf. Rolling back the clock with the new Rouge driver and that crazy good long new Chrome Soft ball. Ball is just WoW!!!!

I'm going to go with 2 out of 2 bunker saves today. I would say my bunker save rate overall is about 1 in 4 or 5, or 20~25%, so 2 out of 2 was nice. Both good bunker shots as well, though one was helped by holing a big breaking 5-footer.
