The second shot with a deuce into 13 on Sunday in '96. Faldo closes with a 67 to clip Norman in one of the most memorable Masters ever....

Outstanding tourney. Faldo was a technician.

Absolutely. it may be Norman's loss but Faldo scored a 67 in the final round

If I recollect well Faldo stepped back here for a second and the crowd roared of disapproval. Then Sir Nick nailed his ball right into the heart of the green. The nerve to do that still amazes me.

My only question with this pic is WTF????

Did Mr. Palmer have a driver/club standing perpendicular in his hand as initially looking at the pic one expects to see?

Or did that jerk-off that Mr. Palmer appears to be resting his hand on his head have it photoshopped out and inserted a complete pic of himself into one of the most Iconic pics of Mr. Palmer and one of his self professed favorites?

Only some idiot with more time on his hands than worth would ponder such questions?

Or maybe Mr. Palmer was simply caught in mid-arm raise?

Oh well, none the less, great pic??

Stay well Gals & Gents?

In the end, only three things matter~

How much that you loved...

How mightily that you lived...

How gracefully that you accepted both victory & defeat...

GHIN: Beefeater 24

it does seem something is a little off with the picture. IMO he was originally standing there with his arm on his staff bag. ;)

Walter Hagen with the trophy at the 1929 Open

This is a classy pic, it speaks to me. Hagen was perhaps the best match play golfer ever to grace our game, lashed at all shots, and a colourful character to boot

People used to wear suits and ties to watch golf .. there was no "get in the hole" BS

How about a cigar and single malts for an evening with this gentleman?

They'd blow their tops if they saw the state of the game today.....

Tell the Haig the tournament has a $10,000,000 purse and he'd be thrilled.

It looks like he went to check his watch and realizing it is gone is looking around for the thief.

This became an instant classic for me. I have a canvas of it hanging on my wall.

If he does not make this par on 13, probably does not win his first major.....

how this cat doesn't have at least two or three legs of the Grand Slam by now still amazes me... maybe a Masters (a Players) and just always being considered a really class act is what was meant to be for Adam Scott...

The guy has won 29 times around the world. Add a putter and some "drive" he would be up to the 60 mark.
