Casper is by far the most underrated golfer ever. 

 

Looking at these pics it looks like Casper had extremely long arms in proportion to this body.

I see what you’re saying… He kept his shoulders very low and had his hands very down [for the era]

 

reminds me of Mickey mantles swing with super low shoulders on the turn and follow thru...

caspers low hands and shoulders caused his right root to drag maybe 6 inches on follow thru...it was so cool

makes for an unmistakable swing and follow thru on both accounts

not comparing the swings, just the unmistakable move of a legend

Those mid 1970’s to mid 80’s hairstyles didn’t play well with head wear.

Very true, but even an older Seve, into his 30s and with Abba no longer topping the charts, always had that sort of 'plonked on' atop-the-head look whenever a hat was worn. Even when he was wearing only one hat at a time, and not his infamous double-hatted ensemble at Birkdale, a baseball cap neverlooked 'right'. And the bucket hat? Well, in his defence, no one really looks good in one of those.

 

Faldo was the same. Long after his bowl cut days, and by then dabbling with a Mizuno or Adams cap, he too never looked great in a baseball cap.

 

Simon Khan has to be King of the Ungainly Hat Wearers, though. He never really got the hang of it at all. I mean, look. Has it been in the tumble drier? It's very nearly a yarmulke.

With those trousers and a bodyweight of about seven stone, a strong gust of wind could have meant that Shinnecock 4-wood never happened...

 

Speaking of skinny pros, I always liked this photo from The Greenbrier in 1979. Luckily Ken Brown's facing the camera. Side-on, he'd be invisible to the naked eye. The devil-may-care jumpers tied around the waists. I often wonder what category of rollocking they got afterwards from John Jacobs.
