Tiger vs. Phil in "The Match." **MERGED**

I wouldn't pay a cent for this.

 

Now what I would pay for is to see a 2 separate groups of pros playing Wolf for their own money...at about $10k a hole.

 

- US Match: Tiger, DJ, Spieth, and JT

- Intl Match: Rory, Justine Rose, Jason Day, and Sergio

 

Never a boring moment. Imagine Rory going lone wolf against Rose, Day and Sergio after the bet has carried over a few holes holes and the bet quadruples. You could be at like $1m+ of their own money at that point.

 

That's a show I'd want to see.

I was hoping for a close match but now I hope TW goes up 9-0 on the front, offers Phil double or nothing on the back, then wins 9-0 on the back. There's nothing debunked about tryptophan inducing sleep, if that's what you meant. It's a precursor to serotonin and melatonin

I am pretty excited for it regardless of the outcome. First time we have had something like this in a long time in golf and while they may be a bit past their prime (even though Tiger almost won the Tour championship last season) and it could be a bit boring at times with just two guys going at it....I feel like it's worth my $20 and a few hours of my time. Also, I hope it leads to more matches like this, maybe not for $9 million but 2 v 2 with side bets or hell even 12 of the best playing "scramble" format would be wildy entertaining I think.

 

It's something different during the silly season and while I can see why some guys don't like it or don't have interest, I don't have a problem with it and plan on tuning in hoping to watch Phil pick up the W.
