Lots of guys missing fairways today, Cameron Champ hit just 2/14 all day. Fowler has hit 7 already which is kind of shocking.

TM had that really good commercial where Rickie is picking up practice balls at the range, taking his TM balls and leaving the Titelsit balls laying there.

An interesting point made by Rich Beam. If Rickie leaves the pegs in until just before the shot and it rolls in the water, no penalty, it isn't in play. Just replace it.

 

One other point. People are saying Rickie dropped it before it rolled in the water. He did but it rolled towards the hazard so he ended up placing it which of course makes it more likely to remain static.

 

That is interesting and pretty clever if he's correct about that.

 

Another option is to not place the ball immedietely. Put a marker down where you’re going to place it, go up and survey the shot, only place the ball once you’re ready to play.

I’m still a bit confused. Say his original third shot had stopped right there where he placed. While his up walking on the green the same thing happens.
