Best Fairway Woods of 2019

Have a Flash SZ on the way to test out. Currently have a TS2 in my possession that will get demoed this weekend, loser goes back. I’m not sure either will unseat the 816 Alpha, but the SZ head is surprisingly a little larger than the 816 and is mostly a tee-only club for me. That’s also why I went SZ over standard aside from the face angle/head profile.

The F9 FW with the ATMOS TS Blue 7S shaft is one of the most solid FWs

that I’ve ever hit. I can’t really explain it, but the only term I can come up with is “connected.” At ball contact, it feels completely connected the way an 8 iron or wedge does. Anyway, the ability to consistently get the 3/4 or 5/6 FW’s to launch high and pretty much straight off the deck is quite unique for my swing. Maybe the rails have something to do with it?

Have played the St190 fairways for 10 rounds so far and they are sleepers. Best Fairways I've ever had after a few years of a revolving door in fairways. I Added lead tape to get desired swing weight and found shafts I love. Ended up with the bonded version and have had no problems with spin. Would consider a 13 TS as a spare club for tighter or shorter courses (removing driver)/ adding a wedge when I need it.

Significantly better than the regular original Epic? I find it ridiculously easy to launch off the deck but sometimes a touch spinny off the tee (especially with my delivery trying to play a cut with the 3w off the tee).

Cobra F6 playing at 42" with a bunch of lead tape added. Been through about a dozen others and finally got annoyed enough to shorten the F6 that's been sitting in my garage and it's been magic. Not as long as some of the new ones that I've had, but it's very straight, easy off the deck and tee, and I',m hitting it better than any other 3 wood I've tried.

I recently bought the new Srixon Z F85 3W with HZRDUS Red shaft and it is a bomber while still being easy to hit off the turf. Best 3w I've ever had.

This might not help, but I was recently in the market for a 3 Wood and tested a few of the latest models, TS2/3, M5/6, F9. TS3 was the longest of the bunch, but the 917 F3 the fitter gave me to warm up with went longer than any of them - a consistent 10 yards longer than the TS3 which was the best of the rest.

So I saved myself £120 and went for the 917. It's turning into an absolute weapon - 260 - 270 yards off the tee, and easy to keep straight.

I really like my TS2 so far but I'm still feeling it out. My old 08 Burner is sitting in the closet waiting to go back in if the TS starts misbehaving. The TS2 is a good 15 yards longer off the tee and 10+ off the ground than the Burner, but I know exactly what the Burner will do every single time I swing it. Hard to top that kind of trust and comfort with a club.

Recently put into play after some trials and replacements, the Tour Edge Exotics CBX 119

3 and 5 woods. They are straight up performers

Excellent distance out of varied lies and tees.

Easily some of the companies best line up.

Try them for yourselves, my best purchase in quite

awhile.

Yep, got the driver, it’s the best looking, sounding and feeling driver out there and I have tried them all. It very forgiving as the other site ranked it most forgiving for slow swing speeds. And it is long. It is just beautiful.

Got the 5 wood and it is perfect. Wish they had a 7 wood. Got the 3 wood and I just don’t have enough swing speed to elevate it off the deck at 85ish driver swing speed so it’s for sale in the bst.

The Mizuno woods are definitely great this year but I just couldn't get the fit right with them. I know they have smaller production levels but still sad that there is only one version of the Tour Spoon and so I just couldn't make it work for me.

Ended up fitting into a TS2 16.5 (at 42.5 in, which feel right to me since I play my driver down at 45 in) set in C-1 (so loft down 0.75 to 15.75, and 0.75 flat) which is perfect for me since my driver plays to a draw and my miss is definitely a hook. Lets my 3 wood be pretty straight while giving me a club that I can, in theory, even play a cut with a little bit if I need it.

I received an M6 3 wood from TaylorMade as a warranty replacement for a cracked M2 head. Same shaft (HZRDOUS Black 6.5 75 grams), and this thing is sweet. Much better feel and sound than the M2. Jury is out on performance, distance seems the same so far. I loved my M2 and could launch it 250 off the deck, but the sound and feel of the M6 is light years better.

Can any of the TS guys compare feel between the TS2 & TS3. Absolutely love the feel of the TS2 but I’m a high spin guy and I think I would likely fit into the TS3 better but... I haven’t been able to find one in my area to demo

Tour Edge CBx fairways are the best out there for good players are they are some of the most fade bias'd out there. Super long as well.

I've hit both and for my swing the TS2 worked best. If you spin a lot already I'd lean towards the TS3, I just couldn't put a good enough move on it myself.

I originally "self fit" myself into the TS3 15* 3 wood and I dont generate enough spin to use the club. My toe misses just wanted to keep going left. I went to a fit and was put into the TS2 15* and put a Tensei Pro White 70g in it and its seriously the best ball flight and forgiveness I have played in a 3 wood in some time. Dont see it leaving the bag

I've had both as well..

TS3 (16.something*) went further on great hits, but I couldn't hit it great every time with that club on the course..

TS2 (15*) was just ok on the launch monitor, but on the field its such a reliable club... a lot more predictable and consistent all around (forgiveness? maybee) and the extra spin helps me keep it in the fairway off the tee or on target off the deck.

TS2 15* - stayed and couldn't be happier with my 3... but my driver and hybrid is TS3..

Exactly what I use with the HC Red 5.5. Toe sits slightly closed, but doesn't bother me. TS2 is right up there as well.
