i can absolutely see why rory wouldn't give a damn about being ranked #1 ... it's meaningless ... win tournaments - that's what's important ... you finish 2nd in every tournament you play in, you'll be ranked #1 probably ... far as the masters, he's just trying to get it out of his head ... of course he thinks his career is diminished without a green jacket ... do people expect him to say that?

can someone pls explain exactly how play will proceed here--ie--how many matches per day and what happens when the top 16 do their matches....I'm presuming the 3 guaranteed matches will be done in 2 days but when do the top 16 start their first match? ..thank you..

The first three matches are played Wed-Fri.

The tee times for the first two days are already posted.

Local TV and cable networks are not covering this event live in my country...only the alternate PGA Tour event...shucks!!

Interesting read on morning 9 this morning from USA Today. Only three of the 16 weekend groups made it to the 18th hole last year. This tournament seems VERY broken from the Corporate sponsorship point of view.

Yeah dell is not to worried. The dozens companies that shell out tens of thousands on catered and open bar suites and invite half of their clients get a little f***** though.

it's a write off -- and those guys to be quite honest don't care too much about the golf.
