We will come back to this comment to realize how accurate these predictions are.

Gator - out of college I got my first β€œreal” job with a major insurance carrier headquartered in Hartford. I was in this year long training program with people from across the country. Getting to know my fellow trainees I found out a couple of them were from GA and I casually mentioned I wanted to get tickets to The Masters. They just started laughing at me, like, seriously laughing at me. They said β€œyou don’t get it do you?” - I had no idea what I was saying (at the time) and they spelled it out for me. At that time, on ticketmaster, I think Tuesday passes were going for $850. It was then I learned I’d never be attending....

Β

Still my favorite tournament.

I bet it hits 30+ pages before the tournament even starts.

Β

Which is fine by me....I love the Masters, it’s the one golf tournament I take off work for on Thursday and Friday so I can watch all four days.

The same is true for the US and British Opens. They reserve spots for past champions who could have become totally non-competitive.

Maybe they should change the color of the jacket to blue, as in bluenose? I think it would be more fitting. I think Tiger might get his 15th here.

Spieth will make his comeback and be in the hunt down the stretch......Rory may get it done this year...unless Tiger is playing with him in the final pairing :)> @gatorMD said:

I do have a good feeling about Tiger this week.... really hope he contends. It's all going to come down to that 1st round for him.

Β

As for likely winner, I'm leaning towards Spieth, Moli, and I'd love to see Rors.

Β

As for Kuch.. he doesn't have the shots he needs. You can't play a pull cut every shot at Augusta, it just doesn't work. Also I strongly dislike him so there's some bias.

Like Bob Jones, Kuchar is a Georgia Tech grad. He's playing the best golf of his career. If he's ever going to win a The Masters, it probably has to be now.

Not even close. Remember who the caddies for the tournament were before 1983?

Ahhh good point. Place used to be super racist and sexist. Glad that has changed over time for the better.

Any plans for the 17th hole? The second last hole shouldn't be the one most commonly ranked lowest. The Eisenhower Tree made it at least nice to look at. Really, the party is kind of over after the 16th. I have never understood why Jones didn't make anything about it when it was decided to swap in-out. Holes designed to be finale is probably not designed like holes to be somewhere in the middle. Last holes should be top ranked holes.
