Ping Glide 3.0 ?

Any info on the new Z-Z115 shaft? I assume it will be 115 g. Is it based on the old Z-Z65 shaft?

It annoys me that the 2.0 is discontinued this far ahead of 3.0 release. I wanted a 46 to replace my set wedge and PGATSS could not order it.

Same.l as my experience in my earlier post. I already have Glide 2.0 wedges, but needed to replaced my defaced 58 ES thanks to a rock hiding under some laid over rough. I just wanted the exact same club that I have because I love these and are so used to them.

 

PGASS: “Satin? Nope.”

 

Me: “Ok, fine, just do Stealth.”

 

PGASS: “Computer is saying can’t.”

 

Me: “What?! Those released in 2018! I guess I’ll just order 3.0’s with the same specs.”

 

PGASS: “They aren’t available for preorder yet. Best we can do is the Glide Forged.”

TGW site still allows custom order on Stealths. Just built one with a Modus shaft and CP2 grip for $115. But didn’t pull the trigger yet.

Ordered a 60 degree Stealth ES yesterday (14 June) and Ping said it would ship on the 21st. Not sure what the delay is about but it's no big deal either.

Red dot, Nippon 105 shaft and standard length so nothing special or custom.

Just looking to pick up an extra at the discounted price point.

Like I said I called ping before I ordered mine and they were OOS of several heads. Luckily they had plenty 52/56/60 heads.

Wow! That looks like a legit Eye2 making a comeback! I have 8 different Eye2 wedges currently in my possession. 3 Eye2 Gorge SWs, 3 Eye2 Gorge LWs, 1 Eye2 XG SW, and 1 Eye2 LW. I was stocking up since PING stopped offering a legit Eye2 wedge. I might need to sell a couple while the resale value is decent.

The TS looks more V-sole. I really didn't like the TS, where I loved the SS. I'm guessing I wasn't alone.

Agreed, but this is golfwrx and it has already replaced two of four wedges... and we’ve yet to see the final product! Now I’m trying to talk myself into the Eye2 lobber...

 

All kidding aside, I agree. But I’ve come to terms with futuristic looking wedges as long as they look good at address and have the proper sole.

I like the look. Other than the Eye2 (old ES grind) it doesn’t look like they have changed the grinds. I have always been a fan of the TS
