That's is a smoke shaft in the picture you can tell by the way HZRDUS is outlined in white. Would much prefer black, not a fan of the smoke.

There is a new heading on the Titleist website that is Utility Irons and it shows these as a pic, that being said my guess is that these will be long irons only like 712U was and not go down the full set like the TMB, remember they are slated for a full iron launch this fall too, assuming 720 is still a go. Looks like we could be in for a lot of good stuff this fall. Wonder if these U500 and U510 have the same 'supermetal' face as the CNCPT line. If they do they will be fast!!!!

Titleist has some really good news for you and some really bad news. The good news is that they will release them before September. The bad news is that it won’t be earlier than that. Look for them in stores last week in August.

Looks like they hit the USGA conforming list. All hybrids offered LH but no Utility irons listed with LH models. The U510 is offered 1,2 and 3 iron while the U500 is 2, 3 and 4!

The address pic of the ts3 has me glad I'm really enjoying my 818h2.

 

EDIT: The pic above makes it look large for some reason but the ones taken by Greg in the Memorial thread looks MUCH more compact. Looks really good in those pics. I'm killing the 818H2 so I probably won't try to replace it this season.

If you look at the pictures there is no resemblance of P790 UDI and U510 except for the small metal detail I assume you mean( which is on the toe of P790 and not on both sides of the logo like here). P790 is way smaller, less offset and U510 has a really fat back more like U45/65/85 or Mizuno HiFli.

 

On the U500 on the other side you have an evolution of T-MB and a lot more resemblance to P790.

I sure hope the LH models just haven't been listed yet. I don't see why they would only market to RH on these irons.

U500 looks good although I like my T-MB just fine. Actually not sure I like the TS3 hybrid over the 818H2 (which I assume it's replacing). Have to see it in person though.

Utility irons are a small subset of clubs used by amateurs and lefties are also a small subset. From a business aspect it doesn’t make sense to offer a specialty club to a small number of golfers.

I get that, but am still a bit confused. The article on the main page mentions these replacing the T-MB's, which do come in LH. I'm currently in the market for more of a driving 3i and was leaning towards the T-MB. Now that these are on the horizon, I'm hoping is it offered to us lefties.

Yikes, not a fan of the utilities. If you took the “Titleist” off the back, it would look like something you’d see an infomercial for or find at Walmart

Other than the comment on the main page article I haven’t seen anything that confirmed they are replacing the t-mb. Its possible especially if the sales of tmb 5-p were low to not continue that line anymore and use the cncpt irons to build these off of.

Already thinking of how to make U 510 1 iron fit in my bag. The 2 would make much more sense, but there is something about seeing a 1 iron in a golf bag (mostly ego).

the shapes of the hybrids do look a little odd to me (could just be the pics) TS2 looks really big
