I ordered a Fastback, simply because I’ve already got an original TeI3 Newport in mint condition, and I’ve got so many Anser-style putters, wanted something different.

I just ordered and got confirmation on a Newport 35” ..I’ve been waiting for a re-release of this putter for the better part of 20 years. I’ve toyed with the idea of picking up an original and asking Slighter or someone similar to add weights to it but just couldn’t seem to pull the trigger. So pumped right now!

Touché. Not sure why not, he’d definitely sell out. The cost of mirroring the production for a lefty club can’t be _that_ much. He’s making a killing already. Just offer more options and make people happy.

I completely agree, but I digress. I hope you guys enjoy it - I would be one to automatically preorder as I feel like it would be worth it AND it has beautiful milling across the face, and I'm an absolute stickler for characteristics (esp. feel and sound) from a blade putter. This looks to be fantastic.

Ordered mine yesterday from my rep. 34 or 35 I didn't care (whatever I could get really as I typically play my putters 34.5" so either was fine), Newport. He said there were 400 in total for Canada and he had 25 for his region, minus the one he was getting for himself. I'm glad I went early. It's all bandwagon but I went the 1997 Masters one, just for the nostalgia. I might hit 10 balls with this thing and then into storage it goes. I kicked myself for not buying a Buttonback when they were readily available at retail now this is my chance at redemption.

Just got my name on a 35” NP2. I honestly wanted a NP but this is what I could get my name on. I’ll try and get a NP on release day at GG and flip the NP2 and if not I’ll just play the NP2

Looks like most of the Newport models are sold out with only Fastbacks left. I get the Newport is iconic but is the Fastback that unpopular??

I’d prefer the fastback 2 over the 1.5. I like a plumbers neck. I’d take the FB2 all day over the NP and NP2

Interesting that people are able to place pre-orders. The places around me are saying that they can't start placing them until the end of the month. In the meantime, I'm on waiting lists to reserve one.

The Big Box Retailers (GG, Club Champ, PGA SS) have known their allotment since last Tuesday.

There really are no "Pre Orders" unless you go through a Mom n Pops Titleist Shop or a Local Club Shop & Their numbers are super limited.

The Big Box stores for the most part are "holding" Models for regulars of their stores whom called early last week.

IDK whom you talked to but they seem out of the loop on what is going on.

Same here. Have to wait till the end of the month to just order one.
