Has Koepka surpassed Dustin Johnson?

I'm genuinely not sure what the others significant others looked like back when they were in their prime but if BK's is what we are now classing as "average to below average looking" then I don't even know what to think anymore?!

I must say, I am a bit surprised. Maybe its all those lower end tournaments that he just doesn't care about.....

 

However, when Brooks gets going, he is really on, just look at the past weekend. And looking back at the Open, Koepka wasn't making many putts at all and was still up there.

Koepka has 4 majors and defended a Us Open and pga . Johnson has one major. They aren’t even comparable Koepka is superior. Koepka will end up being viewed as one of the best players of all time. He is capable of ending on 7-10 majors. He is a great player.

I think it's safe to say DJ will never win 4 majors, in fact 2 would be good at this point. For that matter BK may never win another but I gotta think he will win a few more. I put the over/under at 7.

BK putted like caca at the BO this year but still contended at all 4! 2020 is a huge year for him as he isn't allowed to take a step back now or he'll get "the treatment "

BK has had a good couple of years. Consistency over time has yet to be proven. Look at Spieth - got hot for a couple of years, then had to claw his way back to contention.

Maybe so, but don't discount BK's accomplishment to-date. At 4 major victories, he's already tied for 20th all-time.

 

If 6 years from first-to-last major is a typical time frame for major champions, then he probably has 4 more years of really good golf left in him to get more majors. If he's more like Nicklaus or Tiger in terms of longevity, then he's got 20 more years of golf where he is likely to be competitive. The point is this: BK is top 20 now, but he has a good chance to be a top 10 all-time major winner when all is said and done.

I think their over all game is very close, Dj may have a slight edge in power, but Brooks has him way beat between the ears. I have yet to see Brooks throw one away. DJ has on many occasion.

I'd like to see the Strokes Gained stats of DJ, BK and Tiger all side by side to compare (from the majors they won). Would be curious to know how they are winning. I know Broadie says that it is whomever gets hot with the putter in a given week. Brooks said he played better than anyone tee to green in The Open and his putter let him down but I do not know if the stats bear that out.

Bruce doesn't miss putts. DJ doesn't make putts. That is what 2019 has come down to at least for DJ. Bruce been on a tear. This will be the first year in 4 years if he doesn't win again that DJ hasn't won 3+ times. Doesn't mean Koepka won't have a down year also doesn't mean he'll slow down. It's all what have you done for me lately and Bruce has certainly outperformed lately.
