Any new TM drivers in the works?

New metal woods will be released early next year and will not be M7/M8. They look very similar to the M5/M6, but a different paint scheme and a different weight/track setup. They're going to release irons in the same line as well.

I agree, M5 9 degree is NOT what I'd call low spinning. Both weights are in the center track as well.....1 almost forward, 1 almost back.

What are you doing to spin it up? What are you playing now and what are your spin numbers? My spin numbers with an 8.5 m4 were higher than 9.0 m5 in general and I got some with the m5 in the 1700 range. The m4 didn't get below 2000. My strike locations are all pretty consistent...I'm not all over the face.

 

9.0 m5 is as low spin as I've ever hit.

So, sounds like the head is white again? Not surprised as the white models sold well. Looking forward the the blue accents. Didn’t hate the burnt orange but it’s a nice change. Wonder if it’ll be the “DJ” blue like they did with the spider....

Also, are we looking at one model or two? Sliding weights?

You won’t find any official comments from TM yet. Carbon head like the M5/M6, chalk and blue colorway. I’m sure they will tout the changes soon.

As long as we get closer to a neutral CG, I think I'll be able to dial in the next driver. I had to move the weights on M5 back to reduce some of the fade bias, so the spin bumped up. I'm excited about the rumors of a < 9.0 loft option.

You and I are total opposites, I was lower spinning with my M4 9.5 than with my M5. I love the 5 but mine launches really high.

Just seen the new Sim Driver and all I can say is, WOW!!!! It’s going to have its haters but I for one absolutely think TM hit it out of the park aesthetically with this one! Watched one of the guys up here at my local shop hit it, he’s usually around 165 ball speed, he was getting 168-170 on avg. As far as looks go, absolute win in my books! Well done again TM! You will have my bank account once again.

I was going to say the same thing! The M5 has been the lowest spinning driver I've ever hit paired with the right shaft. I tried the ventus black but it was about 3-400 rpms higher than my atx green. I have tried every head model for at least the last 5 years and the M5 is definitely the lowest spinning driver that doesn't sacrifice dispersion
