Any new TM drivers in the works?

There needs to be the tour and pre-release equipment thread where gear can be discussed openly. Even “pre-release” gear as in the forum name...

 

Then there needs to be the embargo pre-release forum where nobody can post any info they know. Which is what this thread has turned into. TM wants everybody posting nothing factual, just driving the hype for this driver that can’t be discussed. Do free marketing and keep the buzz going, but don’t dare post anything factual or it gets deleted.

Well I can tell you this, Cobra has their new stuff on their website and I called Cobra today and they told me all about their new drivers, on course testing them etc. I’m excited, my M5 may be finding another home

A few of these companies need to get their attitudes in check. Ping with the PLD line and stopping people from buying them and TM stifling conversation on here are the two most recent examples. Not the most customer friendly tactics.

Factual is fine as long as it’s not embargo. As others have said pre release and tour doesn’t mean non public information is allowed or that as a forum we are privileged to it.

Wishful thinking, but it would be nice if TM somehow gets the real deal Ventus in this release. Not holding out hope for the Ventus black, but the blue would be some stock offering. That would sure beat the Tensei non-Pro offerings in the last few releases.

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but the best stock offering from 2019 was probably Wilson with the Atmos tour specs in the Cortex!

Closely related topic...I've hit a 9.0 and 10.5 M5 and saw slower ballspeeds than m4 and ts3. But m5 out drove m4 (haven't done on-course comparison to ts3 yet). What have you seen from m5 in this regard?

I could see SIM being a step above m5 if it kept m5 forgiveness and produced faster ballspeeds...

TM engineers know their stuff...they produce a driver in m5 that's slower than the previous generation but longer...allowing the following year's release to be faster withthe same launch and spin conditions that made the m5 longer...bunch of shysters those guys...

Is this really a company that we want to give our hard-earned bucks to?

In today’s market economy, and certainly in the relatively monopolized world of golf equipment, the power lies with these giant companies. They can taunt prospective customers, make faulty equipment, and brow beat forums into not disclosing information at nearly zero cost, simply because they have a good marketing division.

I come into these threads to see the ‘tech’ and that’s it. TM (and Cally for that matter) will never get their grubby hands on my $.

It will be maxed COR

Have twist face aka bulge and roll that's existed for 40 years

have a shaft with a rubber grip.

Won't be noticeably better than whats already in your bag.

It will be played by Tour players

Will overall be a good driver because TM makes good drivers.
