Stupidly moved on from both and can't fill the void.

This may be stupid, as I've never played either set so I don't know how they play and I am just assuming they are awesome. Probably some combo set of these Kyoei irons and wedges.

 

Or a set of Yoro MP-66 - I've owned numerous Mizuno sets, always wanted this one!

Everybody picking blades. I just don't understand that. My last set would be the latest and greatest from XXIO's range in 2039. I would love to say that the V6's I have now would be the last as they are great now, but I imagine they would be garbage for me in 20 years. To keep my gapping, I bet I would have to take out half the bag.

My current irons -- Bridgestone Access VP-02. Strong loft shovels, hot faces, tungsten in the soles, 17 years old. Maybe they'd get a reshaft down the road.

I think I'm playing them (X2 Hot). Baring a complete meltdown of my game, I don't see the need to change. I'm smart enough to know I can't hit anything better. Wedges, drivers and putters will always get newer though. Maybe something will change my mind, but I can't see it right now. Damn those new Titleist CB irons for tempting me.

Cobra king CB/MB. Been through Callaway apex’s mixed sets, Mizuno mixed sets, bridgestone J40 DPC (almost a keeper, took a while to recover from selling these). the consistency and ball flight for me is unmatched with the Cobras. Too many fliers and hot shots with the Apex’s, cobras are just consistent across the board. I had to get them bent to the apex lofts though because they were a lot weaker. Once I did that it was game over. I say this until next season when I get angry at them.

obviously, they are not giving it too much thought as to what their swing will be like when they clear 60.

I don't see my CG1 Tours ever leaving the bag. Have not suffered club envy looking in other bags since I got them.

But if I play long enough that I need a bag full of hybrids in A flex to get around the course, I won't be complaining.

990s are quality irons, would match anything around now for feel and performance. I would even put 962 in the same conversation. Titleist cast irons have always been the best in the business imo.

I would have to go NCW and go the cb route which is a re-created tourstage mr-23 US Spec with zero offset and a little more bounce and thin top line. One day...

Re usa MR23 yes saw a set 2 weeks ago. Still look great. I bought the other set of MR23 the non usa and still very nice set.

That's an easy one ... Grain Flow Forged and designed and born in Hiroshima, Japan ... Mizuno MP-33 (or the version I have gamed since 2006, which is the matching batch MP-100s) ... If Japanese forged steel was good enough for Hattori Hanzō then Sirs, it is good enough for me.

Interesting the MR23 US SPEC come up. They are in my bag now. If I am going out for one more game in my life, right now I choose them. They've got the copper underlay. They have just a touch of offset. The toes aren't very rounded. They aren't so long from heel to toe. Basically, everything is just right.

it wont be my last set im only 35 and plan to play for a few more years yet so who knows what else will come out in the next 35 years but if i think of the sets ive owned and if i had to pick one from them or one thats around currently i think it would be either : MP60 mizzys (should never have sold) or combo set of Srixon 765 and 965 , they just looked beautiful.
