It's the, "Well that shouldn't have happened" look. He's a good kid though.

Yeah it should not, especially when you take 2 minutes to hit a shot, double check the air density, plumb bob the fairway, have the latest super stiff graphite wedge shafts, he should put it to 3 ft or less, every time.

Having played the course they are on, it is not that hard. I am shocked any PGA pro would shoot that high. But, golf is both hard and fickle.

I've played it as well and agree that tee to green it is not that difficult of a course. The biggest challenge I had (and I've only played it once) were reading the greens. They say "everything breaks towards the Stratosphere" but even knowing that you will look at putts and say to yourself "there's no way that breaks that way (towards the Stratosphere)" and yet they do. I'd like to play it again to get another shot on the greens.

Apparently you don’t even have to be a pro to shoot low there. Amateur in the field is 4 under after the 1st round.

I mean, I couldn't compete, but i think on the right day I would beat 84 in the same conditions.

All time favorite story from TPC Summerlin...this is with the 9's swapped.

Over the green on the then 18th hole and the ranger comes up to watch me play. The hole is on the front of the green and I have the slope to deal with between me and the hole. A chip, unless it caught the slope perfectly, might run off the front so I decided to flop it just short of the hole. In a miraculous moment of brilliance, the flop shot landed about 5 feet from the hole and rolled in.

The ranger exuberantly yelled, "Eagle, EAGLE!" I turned to him and disappointingly said, that was for an eight.

Brooks to miss the cut. Seems like the best golfer in the world shouldn't miss a cut at an event like this....

Make it two, because Chase is the only one to make the cut and is low Koepka for the week.

TPC Summerlin is my old home course. I love watching this tournament. My sources tell me that the course is playing unusually soft for this time of year due to recent rain. That is why the scores are even lower this year. Summerlin is the kind of course that will yield lots of birdies but you are always one bad swing from an eight.
