God forbid, if he acts like a human being and you just so happen to be someone that he doesn't really care for and would rather not associate with, for his own reasons, he definitely doesn't owe anyone an explanation.. > > >

Greg was the man before Tiger, Greg was with Butch before Tiger, Steve Williams worked with Greg Norman before Tiger. My ego is giant, look at previous posts, but Greg’s is otherworldly (Not that it’s a bad thing, a big ego can drive one to great success). I do get that the sense that Greg feels Tiger owes him “tribute” (for lack of a better word) for being in Greg’s eyes the big brother to a young Tiger. And I don’t think Tiger, nor other players particularly appreciate the brazenness that is Greg Norman...he attacks life, he didn’t get the shark moniker for no reason. And that can rub people the wrong way, why he continues to put it in the news cycle, I’m not sure.

> >

> > I think Norman is actually in awe of what TW has done and wanted to tell him. How can Norman not be given that TW has closed where Norman has not. I think Norman was being sincere and, who knows, maybe TW will give him a shout to say thanks.

>

> Yeah that’s a possibility too. You’d be surprised how many players regard Tiger, obviously the money they make is largely due to Tiger, but players understand how hard it is to get one win...let alone 82 and 15 majors. There was an exchange after Trevor Immelmann won his Masters in the locker room that Trevor talks about, he was washing up and Tiger comes in sits down and just starts taking his shoes off and getting things together like it was nothing, Trevor asks, “how did you win however many he had won at the time” and Tiger just laughed and replied, “lot of luck”

>

> There’s ample opportunity for them to cross paths, Greg doesn’t go to Medalist anymore but they do live a couple house down on an island that’s maybe 100 yards wide where they are. Both have extremely nice fishing boats btw.

Where does Greg play at now?

Not only did he do this once but twice. A 4x homewrecker. The guy is morally bankrupt. He's sounding lonely and desperate for attention.

maybe dont go down this road considering what we know about tiger. Lets put the morality card back in the deck as it doesnt help either of them.if you call one immoral you have to call the other one the same considering this was like 2 years ago

none of it matters. I dont care about tigers crap just as i dont care about normans crap. trying to measure one or the other for stuff outside golf is futile.

ripped? big exaggeration. tom watson has been very critical of tiger multiple times over the years yet theyre still good. theyre both thin skinned. John feinstein merely said that tiger should have gone to jackie robinsons 50th anniversary celebration when invited by president clinton at the time after winning the masters in record fashion and tiger answered "why? they didnt want me there before i won so why should i go". he was young and immature clearly but he still wont talk to the guy over that. All these guys are petty and its sad. Forgiveness usually comes with age but not always. Its a dumb story.Norman is 64 now. If i recall he never called for tiger to hang it up.this was from 3 years ago. Not a word of criticism just that he relates with/to him.

This was when he was arrested. Norman wasnt dunking on him he was telling him the truth and encouraging him to clean up.

He congratulated him for receiving the medal of freedom so i dont think theres anything there.

Tiger isn't just mad at Feinstein merely over the Jackie Robinson issue. Feinstein was very critical of Earl Woods and Tiger will never forgive him for that. Anyone who knows the history between Tiger and Feinstein should know that. It's multiple things that pissed Tiger off.

The same goes for Norman. Norman ripped Tiger multiple times as Shackleford noted. Tiger might have somewhat thin skin, but not with Norman. Once you get on Tiger's pay no mind list, you most likely aren't coming off of it. Ask Steve Williams and Hank Haney and Charles Barkley,

I don’t care much for either of them as people, but those of you who are defending Norman are showing your true colors as people. Tiger is allowed to dislike him; he has plenty of close friends on and off tour who speak very highly of him, so why does he need to waste any time with Greg if he doesn’t like him? Are you forced to talk to people that have disrespected you and that you dislike? No? Okay then. And yes Norman is a choke artist; anyone who says otherwise is either delusional, in love with him, or miss “the good ole days” of their 90s youth and hated the tiger dominance.

He spoke to feinstein after his comments about his dad being like stafano capriati. either way it doesnt matter. He sat face to face with john and then never again which of course is his right but short sighted. nobody looks good when 2 greats are like this. Jack and Arnold seemed to have the best balance when offering any criticisms or advice to players. They never came off as malicious or ill intended. Not all criticism is "ripping". heres some insight for you if you feel like giving it a read

Of course marital problems aren't uncommon. However pursuing two married women, while he was married, and one of them his best friends wife is a special kind of lowlife immoral piece of trash.

@lowheel, my intention wasn't to compare GN v TW morality. Just to provide more context (perhaps long forgotten about or never known) news of what a homewrecker, pompous jerk GN is. May explain why he feels snubbed and may not have many true friends left in this world.

Never forget that Bay Hill shot. It was the golf equivalent of a backboard shattering slam dunk. What a gut punch that had to have been to watch that hole out from the fairway.

Honestly, Norman should have kept this to himself. It just seems to petty and childish, like a kid on a playground crying 'cause the other kids won't play with him. Was his point to garner some sympathy from the public or to shame Tiger into contacting him? Neither seems likely.

I’m a fan of both GN & TW golfing abilities, but if you pass judgement on GN saying that’s a “special kind lowlife immoral piece of trash” for sleeping with a best friends wife, then for consistency & fairness purposes you should also admit TW is equally or very close behind for sleeping with multiple hookers while his wife was carrying his child.

Lets be frank here, while they’re both great players on course, and I’ll use your phase, they’re also both “lowlife immoral pieces of trash” off course.

As the saying goes, it takes one to know one, and perhaps that’s their more fundamental issue.

I don't care about Tiger's crap but you show a picture of him not wrecking a home ... guy was on pain meds that ffed him up. Unless one's head has been under a mushroom you are aware of the dangers of opiods and what "normal" citizens have been known to do under this influence...other than kill themselves. The drugs got Tiger...no home wrecker here...

Ha! Meantime, this thread

We can just agree that neither is up for Husband of the Year ; )

As far as Norman getting dunked on by TW.....

**“He will win again. He will win other tour events. But a major? I don’t see it. You need to be honest with yourself. ”-Greg Norman**

So, I guess it's good that TW cut Norman loose after Norman choked his Masters lead. With an attitude like the statement above, how could he ever be a mentor to TW?

Tiger does things that get (often unwanted) attention.

Greg wants attention so he does things.

Big difference.

Tiger win #18 and GN be like,

Very impressive but you have to give the GOAT title to Jack given his 19 runner up finishes. I don't think Tiger likes me, anyway. I scaled the wall at his house, dove into the canal, and swam to his boat to hand deliver an edible arrangement shaped like the Master's logo and he gunned the engines and took off.

This is my 80th attempt to get Tiger's attention and he still doesn't acknowledge me, send help.

Norman has an extensive collection of art including items from the Ming and Yang Dynasty. He deals with only premier art dealers.

Does his desire for things of beauty make him immoral?

Hardly. It takes two to tango.
