i don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone get people more riled up than they are there. While I might disagree with you (if you even are serious in your arguments and aren’t jut purposefully pushing buttons), I have to admit it’s entertaining when someone riled up the rules guys.

In the dozen or so years I've been a member here I have to say it has changed, like most everything else. The giveaways/trips are more frequent and grandiose and that's a good thing for the membership. IMHO, this sight has always been a microcosm of current society and like it or not, it is what it is. There are still some constants remaining as the ones you know will be a gentleman with their respective answers and the ones who won't. It's always been this way here it's just the balance has changed, much like society in general.

I left for about a year because I grew weary of the constant sniping and hyper-reactions to simple answers and questions where one disagreed with another because of the ball and clubs he plays, uses 3 wedges or 6, or plays music while he plays. But like a moth to the flame I was drawn back to it because I missed it and the folks who make up the core. The new format has taken some getting used to but I'm not gonna complain about it. It's Richard's and the gang's to do what they think is best to sustain the joint and I feel fortunate (most of the time) to be able to enter here and converse about almost anything.

It seems as if the mods hold a tighter leash on topics and are apt to close them faster now. But I'm not a mod and don't pretend to know the rules of engagement. There used to be some colossal knock down drag outs that were worth the price of admission and it's kinda sad to see that aspect disappear. Kinda like some folks who are banned permanently who contributed greatly to the entertainment value herein.

There is a lot of knowledge here at our disposal. Like some really professional folks who offer legitimate answers free of charge. Not quite as many as there once was but still there's enough to satisfy most questions without you having to pay for it.

 

This is a good place! And I sincerely hope it stays up and running for the foreseeable future. IDK what the hell else I'd do with the hour or so I seem to spend here everyday if it doesn't.
