Yes no doubt. I already talked to them today to get it taken care of just concerned in the long run now as i usually keep mu driver at least 3 years and since this one was performing so well i was hoping to keep it a long time. But not sure how it will hold up against the test of time as ive maybe hit like 70 shots with it no lie lol.. im scared to get some range time in now with the new head i get.

I picked up a Sim Max and put in a Fuji Pro 2.0 in it and have been very pleased with the results. Distance/ball speed is very good for me. Had a chance to hit my friends Sim and was impressed with the trajectory difference in the two. The Sim was a little higher launching, but flater flight. I picked a head up from the bay and am waiting to get the two on the course and test. The govenor just closed all of the golf courses for the next few weeks so the testing will have to wait until this mess is cleared up. While we all hunker down for a while be smart and safe.

Anyone got any ideas how the SIM Max would compare launch/spin wise with the M2 (2016), assuming that shaft, loft etc were all equal (or as close as can be?)

I know this has been discussed but was hoping not to look back through the whole thread. What is the standard head weight of a sim max 9 degree head......I ordered a sim max with trade in bonus...I ordered it at 45.25 length.......The head is 199 grams and it swingeights at d7.5.......This doesn't sound right to me.....I will say that it still has the plastic on the head. Not sure how much that would add to SW and don't want to take it off till i decide if i want to keep it........What say you? do these weights and swing weight sound proper?

Would like to know as well. Was fit into a SIM 8* as I have a high AOA (4-5*) and found the ball flight incredibly low on the trackman simulator with the SIM 8* - I will be picking the driver up on Monday I think so we'll see. I will respond with my findings.

(Long semi-rant ahead with tangents, lol)

This is mostly speculative until the independent testing comes out showing in the more in depth tech specs, but going off of what we know about the 2016 M2 and the design of the SIM MAX, I would guess that launch and spin are going to be a touch higher and forgiveness will be moderately higher. The 2016 M2 was low/mid CG and mid MOI, which is basically the "jack of all trades" sort of position that Titleist lived in for several releases, just with a lower CG which would make for lower spin on average. The SIM MAX on the other hand, like the other SIMs, is utilizing a design that emphasizes lowering the CG as it is pulled back to help offset the natural raising of CG that tends to accompany moving rearward. This IMO is why many people felt that the 2016 M2 held up or even outperformed many of it's successors, as every model that followed traded CG for MOI. Each subsequent model in the M-series saw the CG move higher and higher, increasing spin and technically decreasing ball speed. This was offset by the introduction of new tech (twist face, greater moveable weight range, speed injection etc etc) as well as a gradual shortening of the face height, which helps to both move CG back and encourage face strikes that are more efficient (closer to the sweet spot).

I know that sounds like a lot of technical jargon, but it helps to understand the core changes that occur from model to model to help cut through the marketing fluff. With SIM, I see something that is actually a true successor to the 2016 M2 in terms of performance, a driver they could have built immediately following the M2 but they likely had the entire M-series range planned out and strategically held back certain design improvements for the sake of continuing to make and sell product. This is not meant to disparage any of the other M-series drivers, none of them are technically "inferior" and the "improvements" that we see are always incremental, but I think SIM represents a meaningful move forward from M5 and M6, as i'm sure was intended by TM. I've been harping about truly low and back CG for a few years now as the only remaining frontier for driver performance and it seems that SIM, along with Cobra and I expect PING with their next release, are heading down. I think Callaway may have little bit of catching up to do with their follow up to the Epic Flash and Titleist will definitely have to make another big leap forward like they did with the TS line.

SIM Max, playing length of 45", head weight was 193.7g, swing weighted at D1.5 with the non-Velocore Ventus Blue. This was in Canada. I honestly think it's hit or miss. I can't imagine the plastic being more than 2g, so 1 point less for you

Yeah, I watched some of the fitting video. I can't recall when the sim was hit and wonder if it was hit toward the end of the fitting, or at least when matt started to tire.

Regardless, I've always said mavrik was really good. That head/shaft combo was dialed in. Would love to see a rematch of SIM with the nemesys.
